Hello again...Hello...
I have been away much longer than I hoped or expected my friends, and for that I apologise. Unexpected physical health problems which although recovered from quite quickly at the time, meant a considerable readjustment in mindset. My initial positivity about this turned to a spiral of negativity, and I chose to take some time out to focus on looking at my life as a whole, my personal goals, expectations, anticipations for the here and now and the longer term; to really look at what made me happy. As a result the last 18 months have seen many changes, not major ones, but significant ones.
I had planned to return to writing this Spring with intent. But there are more important issues to focus on at the moment. The world is a very unsettled, scary and uncertain place for many. Thousands are dead, many more grieving yet having attended no funeral. Even more fighting a virus attacking their bodies, for which as yet there is no cure or vaccine. And on the frontline, an incredibly brave and dedicated team of medics, healthcare workers, carers, not forgetting shop staff, truck drivers, postal workers, cleaners, morticians, undertakers and all those workers whose jobs are essential to maintaining lives, facilities, transport networks, supplies or dealing with the dead. Their dedication and commitment are a testament to the innate good in humanity.
So to all friends across the globe, I wish you love, strength and hope for an end to this awful virus and a recovery for all those affected. To anyone who has already lost a loved one, I extend my condolences. To everyone, please stay safe. Follow the guidance: social distancing, stay home, wash your hands.
