About the Author

James Sillwood has experienced something of a nomadic life; as a child, living in Cyprus and Aden, then, at the age of sixteen, joining a merchant ship where he spent four years trading between Europe, the West Indies and Brazil. After his time at sea he went on to study art and music, gaining diplomas at the London College of Music and a Masters Degree at the University of Reading. He is an accomplished piano player, having given many solo recitals in the U.K, Spain and Portugal. He loves the music of Brazil and feels a great affinity with the country and it's people. As well as his profession as a musician, James has enjoyed a variety of jobs during his travels, including; dish washer, hotel chambermaid, English language teacher, and fruit picker. He has been writing stories since his school days and, after attending several writing courses in the UK, has completed five novels and numerous short stories. He now lives the life of a recluse in the beautiful surroundings of Southern Brittany, where he appreciates the peace and quiet and the opportunity to focus on his writing. When writer's block takes hold, James plays the piano, cooks from Breton recipes and enjoys people-watching in the local cafés and bars. It is only now that he has decided to publish for the first time in the hope that others may also enjoy his work.
