UPDATE!!!
Been away for a while working on a side project, but I am back. Formally SLyles, I have now changed my pen name to Dee Derico due to the content of my stories. I am not going to delete my previous stories written under my real name, but from here on out my new pen name will be seen on my profile and book covers. Thanks to my awesome fans for your understanding and patience. I will have a new story out soon!

I had a real passion for writing when I was younger, and then a crazy thing happened. I went through years of horrible writers block! Only within the last year have I gotten that passion and drive back, but I want to work on a new genre of writing as opposed to the teen/young adult stories I used to fancy. I want to gain that confidence back so that I can go about becoming an actual published author. When I am not writing, I am either reading a good mystery or romance novel, singing my own original songs or wowing them doing covers at karaoke, getting lost in a great action or comedy movie, or rooting for the Miami Heat and the Miami Dolphins right along side my loving and supportive husband.
