(Once again I'm here with a re-write, ever look at your older stuff and find things that you don't want to let go because they might be interesting with more attention? Anyhoo the original of this is still available but I need to change a few things. Some of the character names will be the same but I changed most of them.

As a warning this is a girlxgirl romance, so if you don't want to read that then this story is not for you, I hope you give it a chance.

I own the story and all the characters, any likeness to any person(s) living or dead is coincidental and unintentional. While this story is available for free it is not to be redistributed in any way; I am the only person who can post this on more than one site or earn money from it in the future.)

When it comes to abusive relationships, there is normally someone who doesn't know all the facts that wonder why a person would stay, and would mock the victim because they should leave. However it's not so simple, sometimes the actual victim could have developed Stockholm syndrome or could just be too afraid to leave. That might not make sense to people in healthier relationships, but that is sometimes how it is. With Christina and Frank however, there is a little more to it than that.

Their a fairly average couple when you think about it, they live in a beautiful three bedroom colonial house in North Carolina. The design of the pretty house, with the nice landscaping, and the view of the city was breathtaking and the whole thing belonged on a post card.

It was sitting in a nice neighbor hood, though everything looked nice there were multiple styles of houses all around them. Mostly because this plot of land was bought so that people with enough money could build their dream homes. Inside the house, only the best furniture was used to decorate it, there was a lot of white with various accents. Although everything was of quality the mix of colors was a bit tacky.

Back to the couple themselves, Frank is somewhat attractive even though he's balding, he's not too fat, and normally wears tacky suits. He has a fake tan but it's yellowish instead of orange, he has brown eyes, and a mouth that's always stuck in a frown. His wife is different, she doesn't leave the house much because he doesn't allow her to but her sun bathing has given her a pretty tan. She has gray eyes, plump lips, and silky brown hair. She's an English teacher and while she's the best, she normally stands out because of her looks. She wears plain suits but they were clingy and showed off her figure nicely.

Frank was possessive, the only reason she had a car to get around in, and a job was because he didn't want her to stay at home all day. Just in case one of their more attractive neighbors came by to spend time with her. Honestly he didn't really like anyone near her, in fact they hardly visited his parents because they adored her and always wanted to hang out with her.

It was Monday morning, in April she always got sad, she had been married for eight years and as it got closer to Summer she knew she would be isolated from everyone when the school break came up. She jumped as the bedroom door was thrown open hard enough to bang into the wall, she stood up and backed away.

He looked down at his coffee cup.

“You know, you would think after everything I've done for you you would do one thing for me.”

He was already looking a little red in the face from his annoyance.

“I would do anything for you dear...” she said quietly.

He smiled but the amusement didn't reach his eyes.

“Then why isn't my coffee hot?”

She stared at him, she didn't want to argue with him, but she knew she had just brewed the coffee and had some herself. There was no way it had cooled down just yet.

“Bitch, I asked you a simple question.” he said firmly.

“I don't know master I'm stupid...”

He laughed.

“Well I can hardly stay mad at you when you're so truthful, how about you go and make a fresh pot and I'll be willing to forget your mistake.”

She hurried out the room and down the steps to do as she was told, Frank loved watching her do his bidding. He knew she had just made the coffee, he also knew she was broken enough that she would just accept a beating if he told her she deserved it.

Christina sat in the parking lot of the school in her plain black car putting on make up, she didn't pour Frank's coffee so he hit her and sent her on her way, he hit pretty hard so her cheek was already red. She jumped as her car door was opened, she took a breath seeing Nigel, he was one of Emerald High's janitors. The school was a plain mostly gray building, the school colors were white, black, green, and silver and their mascot was an eagle. Principal Edrin actually owned the school and picked everything out to suit him.

“Hi Christina, I heard Linda was looking for you, and I noticed you sitting out here.”

“Oh okay, thanks.”

He nodded, she grabbed her bag and got out of her car then locked it, Nigel is very tall and skinny, he has rosy skin, black hair, and blue eyes.

“Hey Christina, I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me.”

She sighed as they walked up to the main doors.

“Nigel I keep telling you, I'm married I can't go on a date with you.”

“Right right, no harm in asking, see you later.”

He walked by her and into the boy's bathroom, she just shook her head and went to the office, Linda was the head secretary. She was a plump red head with a bubbly personality.

“Hi Linda.”

“Mrs. Delmone.”

She raised an eyebrow at the formal greeting.

“There's a new student this morning...”

She sighed.

“And you want me to show him or her around?”

Linda smiled at her, she sometimes asked Christina to show kids around if they had special cases.

“Oh would you?”

“Why do I need to show...”

“Her.” Linda added.

“Why do you need me to show her around?”

“Well she's only going to be here for a short time, since she's twenty-one.”

Christina leaned against the desk, as Linda grabbed the paperwork.

“Her name is Ebony Prescott, the poor girl was attacked and has been a coma since the start of her Junior year. She woke up not too long ago, she was a very bright student who was up for early graduation. Before she can get her diploma the superintendent wants to see her play some catch up, you know to make sure she still qualifies for graduation or if she will simply have to finish high school with the younger students.”

Christina shook her head, that was awful, she looked over the file she couldn't imagine what it must be like to wake up from a long term coma.

“But is that really fair? To make her prove that she deserves her diploma.”

“Honey, I don't pretend to understand the way the superintendent works, I just smile and nod, she's in your English class and homeroom so just give her a little bit of a review and she can take the test again.”

Christina nodded, she was sure after a couple of weeks Ebony would be all caught up.

End Prologue

(Alright so you may have questions, like why does Christina stay with her husband? However, we'll get to that, and I know the situation is odd, but that's the fun of writing fiction, hope you enjoyed it.)
