“Aah, Adrian!” Cyra moaned as Adrian began speeding up. “God—ahh!”

Do you have to bring God into this? And do you have to do this every night? The only reason why I’m sitting in the far corner is because I really am physically unable to be away from Adrian! I’m his guardian angel, I have to be here!

Cyra lay on her stomach, Adrian’s body against her as they both moved toward each other after every thrust.  Cyra let out a small whimper when Adrian pulled out without warning.

“Shh, Cyra it’s okay.”  Adrian whispered, then trusted back in slowly.

Oh my God. Please stop…Wait, what? Is that where it’s supposed to go? Urgh…not it’s not…that can’t possibly be sanitary. I risk my life to keep this boy safe everyday and he’s going to die from being unsanitary. Great job Adrian.

The angel sat quietly, his legs crossed and face rested on his palm as his grey eyes remained fixated on Adrian. His wings were hidden, his gaze intense. His free hand hanging freely as his forearm was gently settled on his knee. He could feel the girl’s angel. The presence of such being was strong, buthe could never see where. Angels don’t really have an appearance, they’re spirits after all. This one did, because it was assigned one by Adrian. The spiritual strength of Cyra's angel was obvious, but, the physical – as physical as you could call a spiritual being – appearance remained a mystery. Not that it ever mattered to him anyways. His one and only priority was to keep Adrian safe, and he intended to do so.  The angel let out a sigh as he watched Adrian pull out again, and change Cyra’s position.

He gently spread her legs apart and climbed on top of her, both his forearms on each side of Cyra’s head. Adrian moved his head closer and gently landed a kiss on Cyra’s lips as he carefully entered her again. The angel rolled his eyes and shook his head.

Plus one for the right spot. Good job Adrian. I’ll take it as an improvement?

Cyra moaned loudly as they carried on. Adrian began to moan too, he was unable to hold his voice any longer. His thrusts were slow, careful, but passionate, full of love. She was the only thing he had left as was he for her. The angel knew they both cared for each other, but, sometimes, even he couldn’t understand the way they acted.  Not that he really tried to. It didn’t matter, Adrian was safe. And he felt safe when he was with her.

Adrian began thrusting faster, both almost at their limit, moaning louder, their breaths uncontrollable as their heart beats sped up.  Cyra wrapped her hands around Adrian’s neck, holding him close as he released in unison with her.

Adrian’s body dropped, his panting still hard. After some seconds, Adrian gathered some strength and pushed himself off. After a soft kiss, he rolled on his back. Cyra let out a small chuckle and rested her head on Adrian’s chest.

“I love you.” Adrian declared, wrapping his arms around her.

Those words forced a smile out of the angel. He smiled, because he know how much he meant it.

“Ady…” Cyra began.

Blegh! Stop calling him that. It’s ugly, you can do so much better than that, you’re a smart girl.

“I love it when you call me that”

Seriously? Shame on both of you with your horrible naming skills. Please don’t name your children if you wind up having some. Please, just ask someone else.

I stood up and walked closer to Adrian. He had his eyes closed and a silly smile plastered across his face. As I watched, I could feel a smile appear on my expression. Which is weird cause I don’t smile often… Don’t judge me okay? It’s my job to love this kid to death. I let out a sigh and stretched my wings. I had them hidden for too long, don’t want them cramping. Last time that happened Adrian broke his leg.

“Can I ask you something, Adrian?”

“…About?”

“I… was just kind of worried about your dad…”

Adrian let out an angry sigh, then licked his lips.

“Cyra we talked about this…”

“I know…I just…”

“Please, you know I hate talking about him.”

“I know…. I’m sorry.”

Adrian… I wish you could hear me. I want to tell you so many things…

Cyra sat up slowly, then got off the bed and started collecting her clothes.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, I’m just going home.”

Adrian sat up alarmed and watched her get dressed.

“What? But why?”

“Oh, no. Don’t worry I’m not upset.”

Yes, she is… even I can tell.

“I just have  a lecture tomorrow. I’m late every time I spend the night at your apartment.”

“…Okay. I’ll see you out”

“No no. It’s fine. My house is not far from here. Besides, I’m just going to order a cab.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah. It’s not even dark yet, don’t worry.”

“….”

“Adrian, it’s alright. Really.”

“If you say so.”

What a retard. I love you, I do, but God you’re a retard. Get a signal…

Cyra smiled at Adrian, then left the bedroom nonchalantly. The angel let out a chuckled sigh and sat on the edge of the bed. The moment Adrian heard the door closing, he closed his eyes. He opened them again, then sighed and closed them. The man turned to his left, then bit his lips and began praying in silence.

“My little guardian angel, my sweet company. Don’t leave me unprotected while its neither bright nor dark. With God I awake, with God I sleep and with the grace of the lord and the holy spirit. Amen.”

The angel nodded once, then waited. Every time Adrian recited that prayer, he would talk to him. He just had to wait for him to moister up the words.

“Hey Dan.”

“Hi Adrian.”

“I know I haven't talked to you in a while. I’m sorry.”

“That’s okay. I’m just glad you still remember that prayer your mother taught you…though you don’t need to recite it if you want to talk to me, you know? I’m always here with you.”

“ I… just don’t know what I should do…I know it upsets her…but I just can't bring myself to talk about him.”

“Give it time, you’ll be able to. Time does heal. Whatever time is supposed to mean for you people.”

“It’s just… my dad… he’s getting worse. My mother’s death broke him and I don’t know how to help him. I’m scared of him… I’m scared of my dad…”

“Your father loves you, Adrian. He will never hurt you. Those shatters are guilt. Not anger.”

Adrian let out a sigh and laid on his side.

“Tell me what to do.”

“Talk to him”

“Tell me how to fix him.”

“You can’t fix him. That’s something he’ll have to do by himself.”

“I guess you can’t really talk…huh?”

“Yeah I can…you just can’t hear me. And… to be honest, it’s frustrating at times.”

“Are you really there, Dan?”

“Yes… and I’ll always be with you.”

“Well…Good night.”

The angel lied down next to Adrian and wrapped his wings around him.

“Good night.”

Why do I even bother answer? This boy can’t even hear me.

All humans can name their angel what they like. Adrian named me Dan. Which is short for Dany…which technically is already short for Daniel. I already have a name. Adlai. Of course that Adrian doesn’t know that, so he named me in his language. And because he did that, I decided to name him in mine. It’s just fair this way. After running a list of his qualities, I decided that the one that sticks out the most is his strength so I named him Azai. See? Both start with “A” that way I remember it. I don’t know how to pronounce his girlfriend’s name so I named her too.

It’s not my fault. Everyone pronounces it differently. Her mom and dad too when they were still around. Is it See-rah ? Is it Sai –rah? Nobody knows. Trouble aside, I named her Nura. Easy to say, easy to write. Not that I write.

I let out a sigh as Adrian finally fell asleep and moved closer to him. You’re a good boy Azai. Don’t be scared. I’m your guardian. Nothing can happen to you. Nothing ever will. Not as long as I’m here with you. I promise.
