Hi there. Just an idea I came up with. The Characters Merging contest. everyone is eligible to participate. Please, don't ignore as this is going to encourage writers on here. Okay, here's how it goes. You pick your favorite male character from one book and your favorite female character from another book. Come up with a short story that brings the two characters together. Its pretty simple. Just make sure to add the link of the stories (I don't know if it works that way on here), or the title and author of the stories you are picking characters from. The stories have to be by a booksiesilk author. Include #charactersmerging in your title so it can be found easily. I'll be sure to submit my short story by the end of the week. The story with the highest number of shelves wins the contest. and the stories that were chosen will be promoted on every available social network.
Thank you for taking out time to read this.

Shea, I think this is a fantastically unique idea! And I just wanted to interject that there are a few writers here who occasionally like to write about 'same gender' escapades. So, I didn't know how firm you were on the 'male/female' merge, but I thought I might bring that up just in case...
Don't want to be a party pooper but those who participate should make sure the author is okay with the participants taking their characters and writing about them!! I like this idea.
I like the idea, seems that contests on here just don’t get looked at though!
I DO agree with Icebreaker that it would be important that the author of the character should have a voice!
Did anyone ever write anything for this? I’d love to know...
Personally, I’d go with a theme from a few months ago;
(A little over a year now I think?) When someone, for Halloween, was writing a collection-fest of many of our “Silk” authors having a party & there occurred a bit of murder mystery...
Do you remember?
Can I choose my gender stereotypes, Shea? Is there a dress code?
yeah i would asked the authors first before using their characters
