Silver white wisps’ stray from the male’s head, across his forehead and into a set of ruby shimmering eyes. Those eyes stare out at the distance as he feels the wind gently whips at him, feeling like tendrils of silk against his….once sensitive flesh. Now, there is hardly a feeling. All he feels now is pain, anger, hurt. Agony. Feelings of happiness are long gone, dismissed into the world the humans call earth.
He sighs. He’s chewing his lip, stood at the edge of the cliff his mansion and home rest upon, having nothing better to do. Any mortal would be happy with the life this man has lead, and still does. But not he - no, Rosen has a need. A need for something that dwells faintly in the unknown wilderness of his lifeless heart. He doesn’t know what he needs, but, he knows its something that wont come to him easily, and , knowing his circumstances, willingly.
Looking out at the vast expense of land before him, he reminds himself that time does exist even in his “little world”, and finally turns back after a long while, toward the mansion he calls home. At the door, waiting, there’s a young boy, his hair tousled in coppery black curls, his eyes a striking emerald green. He looks around fifteen, perhaps younger.
Rosen walks steadily and slowly toward him, eventually arriving at the large, singular door that allows one entrance to the huge building in front of them. “Tell Jasper I’ll be back.. Later than usual this morning.” Rosen murmured to the boy, issuing a long sigh through partially parted lips, thoughts of wisps’ now in his head, no thanks to his hair invading his face.
The boy, named Errol, peers up at Rosen and bites his lip momentarily before speaking in a fit of nerve stemmed stammers, “Y-Yes Sir.” He chants, bowing his head and cradling his hands the best he can in front of him, resisting the urge to shove them into his pockets or wring them together as his habit would have made him.
Rosen stares blankly ahead of him as they head through the large door, opened by two lightly armed men at the sides. It’s almost like a fairytale castle, only more modern and unique. A gothic fairytale. Stepping inside the door, Rosen looks up at the interior of the main hallway to his home. The walls are lined with a sleek but cosy looking black material, a fabric attached to the walls it seems. He exhales his breath in a low “humph” sound. “Something the matter Sire?” Errol asks on cue, peering up at the silver haired man, who looks down at him thoughtfully. Like one would when inspecting a small animal or critter.
“I’m quite alright…” Rosen murmured, not really knowing his own feelings anymore. Whether he had any feelings at all was a good question. Ruby hues stared ahead of him once more as the pair continued their way down the hall, eventually reaching a chamber at the far left. Erol left Rosen to enter on his own, and the male did so willingly without hesitation. Inside the chamber stood a four poster bed, dark sheets of purple thrown casually yet.. Neatly over the large bed, pillows piled up in a neat array of cosiness at the end. Rosen sat on the edge of his bed, kicking his shoes off, peering out of the thick glass window at the opposite side of the bed. Sunlight was beginning to seep through the glass, pooling on the ground below the window. With another sigh, he rose and pulled shut tight the thick velvet curtains, shrouding the room in darkness, and moved back to the bed, settling on it, and drifting into the thing that humans call sleep.
