CHAPTER ONE

Run with the pack. Lead the pack. Show your strength and the pack will follow.

These words vividly ring through Jake's head as he takes his morning jog through the woods, three miles from the house he calls home. The early morning scent after a rainfall smelt sweet like honey and the air felt crisp and cool like the pond he visited every night to swim in. Jake loved running on a daily basis. But what Jake loved more, was running his small bookshop by the ocean, away from his pack. He hated it there.

He loved the oceanic view and the quiet, yet busy, bookshop. He hated being told to be like his grandfather. An alpha. Before leaving, Jake was about to be married so that he could join two packs together. He ran. It took two years of running for Jake to be able to hide the fact that he was a wolf. To any other wolf, he was human.

The sudden scent of crisp alpines flowed into Jake's nostrils, snapping him out of thought. He stopped running to look around but saw no one. Resuming his morning run, Jake continued making his way to his little bookshop.

A few hours went by without any problems for Jake. One very hyper girl came in with her mother looking at the childrens books. The little girl came up to the counter with the largest grin Jake had ever seen. He handed her a lollipop.

The scent of alpine assaulted Jake's nose again and as he looked around to see where the scent was coming from, he found a wolf. But this one was different, somehow. This wolf has jet black with hazel nut eyes and muscular. That's not all the caught Jake's attention.

With just one look at this wolf, Jake found himself in a predicament. Luckily the counter stood above his waist because he was fully erect and what made it worse was the fact that this jet black haired wolf-boy was holding a book for purchase.

“Is this everything?” Jake asked. “Yeah, this is it. Nice place you got.” “Thanks. Quiet too.” “I bet. I'm new here. Name's Jeremy.” “I'm Jake.” “Hey Jake, when do you get off work?” “In an hour.” “I'll meet you back here then. We could go for drinks.” “Sounds good.”

Jake watched Jeremy turn and walk towards the door, leaving Jake's imagination run wild as he stared at Jeremy's skinny jean hugged ass. However, Jeremy didn't leave without turning around and said, “You might want to deal with that before someone sees it,” and then he was gone.

It took Jake a moment to realize that he was fully erect with his member visibly making his pants tighten around him, showing off. 'God damn it! Calm down Jake. You just humiliated yourself in front of the hottest piece of ass who just asked out for drinks. It could have been so much worse.' Jake thought silently to himself.

As Jake stepped out to lock his stores door, Jeremy stood leaning against a light post, wearing tight black skinny jeans with a very form fitting black t-shirt that showed off his sexy muscular form. Just seeing him standing there like that sent Jake's imagination spiralling out of control. Jake's heart started racing and his palms grew clammy.

“So, where should we go? You got a bar you prefer?” Jeremy asked while giving Jake a sexy sly smile. After his encounter with Jake in the bookshop, and the front row seat to the biggest erection show-off, Jeremy knew he stood a chance to hook up with Jake for a one night stand.

“I figured Marty's Bar and Grill three blocks from here. Marty's got the best beer and burger's around.” “Sounds good to me. Any strip joints?” “Kitty Catwalk?” “So Marty's then Kitty?” Jeremy asked. “Alright.”

Once the two new friends filled their bellies with beer and burgers they made their way to Kitty Catwalk.

Dancers offered lap dances and a few guys flawed the sexy duo and bought drinks. Things started getting uncomfortable for Jake when he got surrounded in the bathroom by five of the burly men. Jeremy was taken to a private room ten minutes ago and Jake's stomach knotted, knowing what was about to happen.

The largest man snapped his fingers and the men on the left and right grabbed Jake's arms to keep him from fighting. Fear sank in tenfold and now the only thing Jake could think of was Jeremy's smiling face, then regretted it immediately.

“Look boys, our little blond friend here is hard as stone. I guess he wants us to continue,” the leader said as he unzipped the now terrified Jake's dark blue jeans. Jake hated being touched and having these men trying to rape him in a strip joints bathroom only made it worse.

“Hey Jake! That chick was hot!” “Mind helping me out? This guys got my junk in his grubby hands.” It didn't take long for Jeremy to help knock all the larger men on their asses. “Sorry to cut short, but I'm heading home.” Jake said as he looked longingly at Jeremy, hoping he would join him in his bed.

“Well, I can see why. You don't fit in your jeans.” Jake's face felt warm as he hastily zipped up his pants. A twitch against his back told Jake he needed to go. You see, Jake wasn't just a normal wolf. He had wings, and his wings were twitching, making him want to fly.

Running out of Kitty's, Jake went straight into the back alley, released his true form and took off into the night sky, leaving Jeremy inside the club alone. He didn't care. Jake knew Jeremy could handle himself.
