Summary

"You couldn't possibly help me." Sasha felt the strong urge to get up and run as he moved closer. His slow steps mimicking the stalk of a predator. Before she could make up her mind he had lowered his head to her neck, his breath blowing right below her ear. "My dear, I can offer everything you've ever wanted on a silver platter with a snap of my fingers. However, I desire something in return." Sasha swallowed the lump in her throat, hoping he couldn't tell how scared she was. "What do you desire?" She felt more warm breath on her neck as he chuckled. "You my dear. Your mind, body and soul. . . "

Sasha Evans had never been one of those people that could easily overcome an unbearable past. The places she'd formerly lived. . . she despised and had never revisited. The people she used to know. . . she never talked to again. Everything was locked away inside her where it would collect dust with all the other things she never wanted to think about, including the memories and who she used to be. Sasha had moved to this new city to escape her past once more. She doubted it would be long before it was knocking on her door again.

Sasha shook her head as if to shake the thoughts away and got up out of bed. The apartment she had been able to afford was rather luxurious. The accents and furniture were all in white or black, giving it a modern feel. The place was also only six blocks away from her new place of employment. The first month had been hard but finally she had secured a job as a server at 'The Blaque Rose'. It was a small club that catered to people of the middle and upperclassmen of the city. There was also a V.I.P area seperate from the rest of the club where the very wealthy men did business deals and whatever else their hearts desired. Sasha hadn't served in the V.I.P area yet, but was told her time was coming. From the sounds of it, all the servers hated it. She had heard one server describe a man as a 'disgusting pig' before. Being the newcomer ment Sasha took the late shifts, stretching from 7pm - 2am. It paid the bills though and she didn't really have the time to look for a new job.

Sasha looked at the clock on the bedside table and inwardly groaned. It was already 4:30 pm. Her closet consisted of the few clothes she'd brought and a few new ones that were bought for work. The club didn't have a dress code but Sasha knew that her clothing, or lack thereof, would determine how gracious the men were with their tips. The drawers held mini skirts, corsets and other microsopic articles of clothing while the heels were stacked neatly on the shelves. Once Sasha was pleased with her outfit she headed for the shower, finishing with her makeup and hair.

After she was done it was 5:45 pm, time to start walking to work. The air was cool against her freshly washed skin, causing her to shiver for a moment. A car would make the trip go much faster but Sasha loved breathing in the air of yet another new beginning. The walk seemed faster than most days and before she knew it she was already at the club. Taking a deep breath she tried to mentally prepare herself for the rest of her night.
