The Unicorn

I see you there, just beyond my reach. 

Enchanted by you, I long to approach but fear you will leave.

So I stand in place wathing you with longing eyes and heart.

Admiring you from a distance, you remain in my view without cause to flee.

The pain of never having you is dismissed by the knowledge you are with me.

If I were to touch you, show my feelings I know not what you will do.

They say there are no such things as unicorns, mystical creatures that conjure inspiration and love, I say they are wrong for I have seen you with my own eyes and will cherish you evermore.
