Cover me , Love. As my sword it protects. Craddle me, Love. Balance fire and regret.
Give me freedom in your arms, not to stray beyond reach. Give me dreams, give me death, give me hope in repeat.
Cover me, Love. Let desire burn free. Hinder me, Love. Bury secrets in me.
Make me wait, make me yearn, make me twist in the day. Make me scream, make me hurt, take my breath in your wake.
Cover me, Love. Let me wear you. Suffer me, Love. Give me authority too.
Let me taste, let me tug, while you put up a fight. Give me warmth, give me high, give me you in the night.
Cover me, Love. Stretch me over seas. Beckon me, Love. Secure our history.
I am nigh, I am submitted, I am branded and joyed. I am longing, for the thunder of my favorite of storms
Cover me, Love. Cry in mornings apart. Seeking me, Love? Have I captured hearts?
Hold no light to seek the stairs out of the den. Hold me now, keep me close, pull me over again.

I think it's really good. What I really like about this piece is the option to look at this as the speaker talking to their lover, asking and defining all the things they want from a relationship. Concomitantly, the piece personifies love itself as 'a listener' and a deity of sorts, something with power and authority, something with will and dominion. I think the rhyme works well. It has a very poetic essence, deep and thought provoking.
I've got you covered! LOL! Well done!
Thank you guy and gal so much. I'm growing each day in my creative writing and I look forward to reading more of your works also!!!
The flow and cadence of your words cast me a drift in a sea of your making. A song was how this filled my ears as I read it. I really liked this!
