Kylie walked out of her house and sighed. Another boring school day awaited her. She arrived at the hell hole and began getting ready for class. Just then her best friend, Midori Yuri walked up. “Hey, did you watch the new episode of Misfits last night?” “Oh crap, I knew I was forgetting something last night.” Midori laughed and shook her head. “You are hopeless.” She patted Kylie’s head and they walked to class as the bell rang. “Sir, I really don’t understand this part…” “Of course YOU wouldn’t.” The teacher rolled his eyes and walked over to Kylie, the class snickering.  Midori glared at them all and they stopped. She was getting sick of the way people treated her and Kylie around here. Everyone somehow assumed she was the school slut, even though the farthest she’d ever gone with anyone was making out. Kylie was known as the school dumbass just because she needed a little extra help in some subjects. But they were both really nice to people and rarely got into any drama. But, this is high school. Nothing you can do about it. A couple of hours later they were sitting down and digging into whatever this brown stuff was supposed to be. “I hate this school. Actually, I hate my life. EVERYONE treats me like absolute crap. I’m just…miserable.” Kylie dropped her fork and sighed. Midori swallowed the gross concoction and nodded. “I know, but there’s nothing we can do right now. We’ll be out of here in a few months. This is our last year.” Kylie smiled slightly.

“True…I just wish it was a couple of days instead.” The bell rang and the girls endured the rest of the day before heading to Kylie’s house. It was Friday, their movie night. After a few hours of crappy movies they decided to take a walk. They always did that after. Especially if they watched horror movies. Don’t ask why….They just did. “I hate that movie…but Dianna Agron is awesome, so I’ll watch it over and over and over again. Until the DVD breaks.” Midori quirked an eyebrow. “Oh, really? I love that movie…” Kylie shrugged and looked up. “Does the sky look…brighter than usual to you? I mean for this time of night…?” Midori looked up and tilted her head. “That’s…really weird. What the hell?” They stood there staring up at the sky for a good five minutes before a small object appeared in their view. Kylie furrowed her brow. “What the fuck? That doesn’t look like an airplane…” “A satellite maybe?” The object kept getting bigger and bigger. “Is that what I think it is?” Midori shook her head. “T-that’s impossible…We have to stop watching so many alien movies…” Suddenly it was right above them. It was definitely a spaceship. “Uh…Let’s…RUN?!” They both tried to move but couldn’t. “I-I can’t move!” Kylie gritted her teeth. “M-Me either…” A light of some sort beamed down to them and they both started floating. “I DON’T WANNA GET PROBED” “We’re not going to get probed you idiot.” “How do you know?!” “Well...I…Shut up.” Suddenly, everything went black.

Kylie groaned and shielded her eyes from the bright light. “Time for school already?” She heard a chuckle and jumped up to see a woman and two men in red and blue costumes standing in front of her. “Who are you?” The woman stepped forward and extended her hand. “I am Gwendolyn, these are my guards, Slate and Michael. We brought you and the others here for observation. We aren’t going to harm you, we just want to know more about humans.” Kylie looked around to see there was at least 10 other kids there. Midori was also awake now. “So wait, are you like…aliens or something?” “Well, to you yes. But to us, YOU are the aliens. You will each be assigned a family to live with and will be attending the school here. The reason we have chose your group is that you all seemed the most miserable. I guess you could say…We wanted to give you a better life.” She gave a genuine smile. The group all looked at each other with the ‘Is this shit actually happening right now?’ look and Midori spoke up. “So basically, you took us against our will. What about our families?” “When we send you back in a few months, we will wipe everyone on that planet’s memories. It will be as though nothing has happened. Now, let’s get you assigned to your families, shall we?”

They were all handed a piece of paper with a single name on them. “What is this?” Kylie raised an eyebrow. “The last name of the family you’ll be living with for the next six months. Good luck everyone.” The huge door opened and everyone was pushed out of the ship. The planet they were on, whatever it’s name was, was an exact replica of Earth. Except the leaves were blue, and the water was light red. There was a group of ten families standing there waiting for their new kids. “It’s kind of like a foreign exchange program…” Midori looked around for her family. She found it and walked over to them. Kylie scratched her head and looked for the “Morgan’s.” A man walked up to her with a smile. “You’re the last one, so I’m assuming you must belong to us?” He showed her his sign and she nodded and looked down at her feet. “Don’t be shy, my name is Matthew, this is my wife Katherine, and my son Kane.” He led her over to them and they all shook hands. “My name is Kylie…Uhm…Nice to meet you.” Katherine smiled and grabbed her hand. “I know this is a little weird, but I promise you’ll have a lot of fun with us! We’ll watch movies and play games and go to spas and whatever you’d like!” “Honey settle down. Sorry about her, you’re our first child so it’s very exciting for us. Kylie nodded.

They got to the Morgan’s home and sat down in the living room. Kylie sat on a loveseat opposite the family. “I don’t mean to be rude...-.” Their smiles dropped. “She hates us! Oh no, I knew this would happen!” Katherine dropped her head to her hands. “I-What? NO! I don’t hate you…This is just weird for me. I mean, I basically got kidnapped and now I’m supposed to live with people I don’t even know. I don’t even have any clothes or anything, just my cell phone, which I doubt even works on this planet.” “I see…Well it’s understandable how you’d be uncomfortable with all of this, but unfortunately there’s nothing we can do. None of us have a choice in any of this. I’m sorry…If it makes you feel any better, we’ll obviously buy you an entire set of new clothes.” Matthew patted her hand and she gave a small smile. “Thank-you…Can I see my room?” “I’ll take you.” Kane stood up and led her out of the room. They headed up the stairs and to the second door to the right. “The bathroom is right across from your room. We don’t need to use it, but well…We know humans do. So, yeah.” He opened the door and they walked in to an average sized room with a 2-door closet and a queen sized bed. “Awesome…Thanks. Uhm…Are gay people like hated on this planet?”

Kane raised and eyebrow and smirked. “No, we’re not assholes like humans…No offense,” Kylie shrugged. “Actually everyone on this planet is bisexual. We look for love, not gender.” Kylie smiled and sat on the bed. “This place is actually kind of cool…Any rules I should know about?” Kane sat down beside her and shook his head. “Nah, just like, no killing or raping or hitting girls. Stuff like that. So don’t worry about anything.” He rubbed her back and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. Kylie sighed and lied down on the bed. She took out her phone and bit her lip. ‘Let’s see if this works…” ~Heyy, supp?~K. A couple of minutes later her phone vibrated and she picked it up. ~Not much, just got settled in. We’re going shopping tomorrow for new clothes!~M. ~Yeah, us too. This family is pretty cool, the dad’s name is Matthew and the mom is Katherine. They have a son named Kane.~K. ~Awesome, the dad in my families name is Kirk and the mom is Nadia. They have a son named Markus and a daughter named Jade.~M. ~Cool. Well I have to go, they just called me down for supper. See you on Monday, I think?~K. ~Bye, yeah!~M.

Kylie left her phone on the bed and headed downstairs to sit at the table. Katherine walked up to her and handed her a pill. “Enjoy!” “Uhm…What is this?” Katherine gasped and put her hand to her face. “I can’t believe we didn’t explain this! Well, this is a food capsule. It has an entire meal packed into it. Just swallow it and you’ll be full! Well you can have seconds if you want, of course.” Kylie raised her eyebrow and gulped. Hopefully this wouldn’t kill her. She grabbed the glass of water off the table, put the pill in her mouth, drank the water and swallowed. Five seconds later, she actually did feel full. “Whoa…That’s awesome!” The Morgan’s laughed and swallowed their pills. “Alright, supper is over, time for family game night!” Mitchell jumped up from the table and everyone headed to the living room. They sat around the coffee table and Matthew brought out a bunch of board games. “Don’t worry, we’ll explain how to play each game.” Kane winked at her. She grinned and nodded. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad here.

The next day they went to the mall and Kylie’s jaw dropped. It was the biggest mall she’d ever seen in her entire life. It was at least six floors high. “It has like every type of store you could possibly imagine! Oh, and it has an indoor movie theatre, amusement park, and water park! You’ll love it!” Kylie closed her mouth and nodded before following the family to a clothes store. Six hours later and she was sure she had enough clothes to last her five years, without ever wearing the same outfit twice. “You guys…This is really too much, I feel bad.” She looked over all the bags and turned red. Katherine waved her hand and smiled. “Oh no, don’t worry about it! We insist! We just want to make you feel as comfortable as possible.” “Okay, let’s head to the amusement park!” Mitchell laughed and ruffled Kane’s hair. “Alright, here’s some money, we’re heading to the movie theatre. We’ll meet up here at 9:30, got it?” Kane nodded, grabbed Kylie’s hand and dragged her away. Another six hours later and everyone met up. “That was AWESOME! Way better than anything on Earth!” Kylie jumped up and down excitedly. Kane wrapped an arm around her and shook his head. “Man, humans are just so fun! They get excited sooo easily!” He grinned and Kylie pushed him playfully. “Glad you had fun Ky! We should be heading home now, you two have school tomorrow.” Matthew looked at his watch. “Oh oka-MIDORI!” Kylie waved her arm and Midori looked over. She grinned and ran over to them. “Hey! This places rocks!”

Kylie nodded and turned to her new family. “This is Matthew, Katherine and Kane.” Midori smiled and greeted them then turned to Kane. Both of them just stared at each other like there was no one else there. “ Uh, Hi…Nice to meet you.” Kane stuck out his hand for Midori to shake and they both felt a little bolt of electricity. “Y-yeah, you too.” She looked down and blushed. Kirk, Nadia and Markus walked up to the group. “Hi Kane!” “Hi Markus…So uh dad, we should get going right?” Matthew raised his eyebrow and nodded. “Yep, see you around.” The Morgan’s quickly left the mall and headed home. “I take it you don’t like that family?” Katherine sighed and nodded. “They’re nice…But way too annoying.” Kylie laughed and headed upstairs to go to bed. School was starting tomorrow and she was super nervous…

The next day, after they had been registered and shown to their lockers, the girls met up. “Ugh, math is my first class.” Kylie sighed and crossed her arms. Midori shook her head. “Better than having gym first period.” The bell rang and they separated. Kylie walked into her class and 22 heads turned towards her. The teacher walked over to her and read the slip of paper Kylie handed to her. “Class, this is Kylie Seiyuuki.” Everyone said hello to her and she smiled. “I’m Mrs. Miotta. You can take a seat beside Markus.” Kylie turned to Markus who looked up and waved. She raised an eyebrow and made her way over to him. “Hi, I’m Kylie.” Markus shook her hand and nodded. “Yeah, Midori told me about you. I think you’ll really like it here, everyone is super nice!” She smiled at him and turned to the teacher. The next class she had was English, which was her favorite class. She was told to sit by some random kid with red hair, who introduced herself as Max. The teacher assigned them a small project about story writing. “Oh shoot, Kylie, do you mind stopping by the library after class to pick up the book for this assignment?” Kylie nodded and looked at the piece of paper he handed to her. “Be bold with bananas.” She raised an eyebrow and shrugged. She was getting used to the weird things on this planet. After class it took her about ten minutes before she finally found the library. She walked in and walked up to the librarian.

“I’m looking for this book…” The librarian looked up and grabbed the slip of paper. “Oh yes, just a second.” She typed the title of the book into her computer. “You can find this in the non-fiction section.” Kylie thanked her and walked over to the shelves. After searching for a bit she found the book and headed back to the desk. “I set up an account for you so you can take out books.” “Cool, thanks!” Kylie picked up her new library card and book and started to head out of the library. She turned her head and that’s when she saw her. The most beautiful, perfect girl she’d ever seen in her life. She had light brown hair that went just a little past her shoulder blades, perfect full lips, the cutest nose, with just a slight curve in the bridge, and she couldn’t really see her eyes because she was looking down at a book. Kylie was so busy staring at this girl that she didn’t notice the door she ran into two seconds later. She fell to the ground with an ‘oof.’ The girl at the table jumped up and ran over to her. “Are you okay?!” Kylie looked up to her and turned bright red. “Y-yeah…I’m fine…I just kind of got….distracted.” The girl smiled and helped her up. “That seems to happen a lot with you humans. My name’s Melody.” “Kylie Seiyuuki, but I’m staying with the Morgan’s. How did you know I was a human?” “We have amazing senses, we definitely would have noticed that door.” “Oh…so uh, what grade are you in?” “Twelve, I’m guessing you are too?” Kylie nodded and opened the door for the both of them. “So, made any new friends?” Kylie shrugged. “Just Kane, my uh…brother? My old friend Midori, and the boy she’s staying with, Markus.” “Markus? Oh uh…Good luck with that one.” “Is he really that annoying?”

“Oh yeah. Definitely. Where’s your next class?” “I don’t really know, but it’s Science.” “Oh, that’s my next class too, follow me.” Melody led her up the stairs to an empty classroom. “Here it is, class starts in two minutes so we might as well just wait here.” They leaned against some lockers. “So…Have a boyfriend? Girlfriend?” “No, all the guys here are assholes, and the girls are all sluts. How about you? Got anyone back on Earth?” Kylie shook her head. “It’s the same on my planet.” Melody smiled and the bell rang, signaling the start of class. “You can sit with me if you want.” They went inside and waited for the teacher to come in to start the lesson.

Kylie walked out of her house and sighed. Another boring school day awaited her. She arrived at the hell hole and began getting ready for class.
