They Don’t Make Water Hot Enough

to get your stench of sweat and excitement

off of me.

What started as foreplay—some handcuffs

and a paddle—turned into a bruise

on my left breast

and teeth marks on both my thighs.

Now, pink skinned from the shower,

my body dry and sore.

You had never been that cold.
