Summary

This series follows the lives of the Zodiac Warriors who were created by Zeus to fight and protect the human race against Hades and his army of Underworld creatures. Each book will be about an individual Zodiac, starting with Aries. This is an UNFINISHED series. The first one isn't finished yet and I am posting as I write. I'll try my hardest to stay on top of it. I need to, these warriors won't let me do otherwise. Also, this will be posted in Parts instead of Chapters. The length of each part will vary.

ZODIACWARRIORS

PARTONE

BYJDFAIDLEY

Aries’ dagger pierced the demon’s heart, the demon letting out a shriek of agony. He looked up in time to see his brother, Taurus, do the same and, just like that, the demon raid was done leaving nothing but splattered blood and burning piles of ash.

Aries never enjoyed killing. He was never the kind of person to revel in the kill, smile at the blood, or shiver as the blade sliced through an enemy. He did this because it was his duty.

As a Zodiac Warrior his brothers, and sisters, and him were weaved, by Zeus himself, from the natural elements that made the Earth and were split between the two “sides” of the world, the Americas and Europe, to protect the human race from Hades’ frequent attacks.

In the beginning, Hades, God of the Underworld, had been all butt-hurt that his brother’s had command over powerful things; Poseidon being ‘commander’ of the sea and Zeus being ‘commander’ of…well...everything; while Hades was stuck with the Underworld, life’s basement. Or some shit like that.

Ever since then Hades has been doing everything in his power to knock his brother’s off their high horses and take over for himself. That’s where the Zodiacs come in.

Zeus created them to protect and serve. Back waaaay before Hades had his psychotic breakdown, Zeus was contacted by Apollo who had had a vision of said breakdown. In order to prepare for the shitstorm that, according to Apollo, was brewing very quickly, Zeus pulled them up from the grounds and waters and began to mold them into the perfect little soldiers. They were trained in the early ages of their existence anywhere from Combative Strategy to actual Hand-To-Hand and when they came of age, all twelve of them were sent to live on Earth.

They all lived together in the middle of the forest of Bum-Fuck-Nowhere which was only Gods knew where. They had a mansion specifically built to cater to all their needs including their own Clinic and Gym. The mansion was set off far from civilization and, for extra protection, a large white stone wall housed the large building from any naturalists and lost hikers that may wander onto their compound. This was good considering the fact that, because they were immortal and technical Gods, it was obvious they weren’t human. Each warrior, in his or her true form, were immaculate. They were tall, the females slender and the males built, smoothed skinned, other-worldly beautiful, and each glowed with a soft yellow light like the sun on a warm spring day.

Their eyes were their most spectacular quality, though. No other God or Goddess shared this quality. When they were created, Zeus had four Sorcerers awaken the power inside the children. After the awakening, they went into another ritual that gave the power a source; earth, air, fire, and water. When it was over, the children slept for a month to charge their newfound gift.

Having all that power at one time turned the children’s eyes. Instead of a normal iris color, black pupils and white sclera’s, their eyes showed their element. Aries, for example, was of the element ‘fire’ so his eyes were amber colored with a very visible flickering flame in the pupil.

Taurus laughed, breaking Aries of his thoughts, and kicked over a pile of left over ash. “How many didja get?” He asked Cancer who was wiping his blade off on his pants.

“Six.” Cancer replied with a smug smile. “How many did you get?”

Taurus looked over his brother’s shoulder and smiled. Without another word he took his just-cleaned dagger from his hip holster and threw it with such force that it whistled through the air as it went by Aries’ head. The blade stuck into the black charred flesh of a demon, the thing squealed in that revolting, ear-bleeding way demon’s do and disappeared in a pile of ash.

Taurus straightened up. “That was seven.”

Cancer narrowed his eyes, his face not changing. Then shook his head and laughed. “You’re ridiculous.”

Gemini, who had been helping Leo with a wound and was the demon’s target before Taurus stuck it, stood up from Leo and smiled. “Thanks for saving my ass.”

“That sweet ass.” Taurus winked.

“Jesus, what is wrong with you?” Gemini said with a laugh. “It’s not happening, my brother. I don’t sleep with colleagues, or family.”

“But that’s the best part! We’re not family by blood! It’s all good!” Taurus replied. Cancer snorted.

“Right. I’ll see you guys back at the mansion.” Gemini turned and disappeared in a rush of wind.

“Why do they get to transport? It’s not fuckin’ fair.” Cancer said as he picked up his weapons and followed the other brothers to the Escalade. “I hate having to drive all the way across Sanford, then spend a couple hours rollin’ through trees, just to get home.”

“Right?” Pisces replied.

“Quit bitching. You don’t even drive, I do all the driving.” Taurus said. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out his keys. “Besides, the ocean is right the fuck,” He turned and pointed. “Over there. Get to working you water twirling bitch.” He pushed the unlock button on his lock-remote.

Cancer chuckled as the Escalade honked. “Rather control the ocean than a couple of sticks.” They walked around to the back of the vehicle and popped the hatch before unloading their weapons.

“Feels good to get this bullshit off.” Aquarius said. He got a couple grunts in reply before Taurus shut the trunk.

“Not a couple sticks, the entire Earth.” Taurus argued as he walked around the car.

Once they got settled in the car and got it started, Taurus pushed Random Play on his touch screen stereo and immediately the beats of Tech N9ne’s ‘KC Tea’ started bumping through the speakers, shaking the seats, sending vibrations up Aries’ legs. He tuned the music out and stared out the window. Minutes went by and the music was turned down. Aries looked up in the rearview and met Taurus’ eyes. “What?” Aries asked, a bit of an attitude in his voice.

“What’s your malfunction, bitch?”

Aries smirked and shook his head. “Nothing, my brother. I’m just lost in thought, is all.”
