The club was packed, I could feel the music thumping in my chest. Just what I needed after the week I had had. I was in the middle of the floor sipping my beer, losing myself in the music, letting the music wash away my high demanding boss. Today was Friday, and I was happy to let the music take me away. Pushing away every thought I found myself completely possessed by the rhythm.

I had just finished my beer when large hands invaded my space, I've never turned a man down for a dance unless he deserved it, this man had potential, we moved in sync to the beat, and I soon found myself lost in the music again. He didn't go right for the kill, I like that he just let me know he was there. I backed up a little to see just how big he was, I wasn't disappointed, large arms incased me and I was met with the strong smell of man, I turned around in his arms only to be met with a very large chest, I was shocked, this man was hulk, big and thick...everywhere. I slowly rake my eyes up to his strong jaw and beautiful lips, perfectly rugged nose, but that's not what halted my breath, his eyes, piercing green eyes, looking right into mine. Totally dangerous. I stopped moving, I think the music was still going, I can't be too sure because his eyes were screaming at me.

"Hi." I breath "I'm Sloan." It felt like someone else was talking, I never give out my name, wake up Slo.

"What?" The beefy man rumbled, as he lowers himself to my 5'2 frame

"I said my name is Sloan, hi." I said a little louder.

"Hey, I'm Bo, nice to meet you, can I get you a drink?"

"I was actually just leaving, I have to work in the morning." I reply. His hopeful face frowns. "I was just trying to clear my head before tomorrow." I offer

"How's that working so far." He smiles, and my face flushes.

"I'm not sure." I breathe, hoping he didn't hear me, "It's nice meeting you Bo." I say as I make my way back to the bar.

"Hey!" He shouts over the music I now hear beating through the speakers. "Can I get your number? Maybe take you out for coffee sometime?"

"That's very sweet of you, but I don't think so, I just come here to let off steam, I'm not interested in dating." I turn and call Mikey over from a group of hot 20 something's trying for free drinks.

"Hey Slo, you leaving" Mikey asks.

"Yea, can I have my purse? I have to work in the morning. Can you tell Keenan that I left?"

"Sure thing tiny, you driving?"

"Yea but I'm good. Love you." I reply and take one last look at Sir Hots A lot. "See ya around Bo."

"I'm sorry to see you leave Sloan. I was looking forward to getting to know you." He rumbles, poor good looking man, probably has never been turned down.

"You aren't missing much, see ya." And with that I'm out the door.

Bo POV

"Mikey, you know her?" I ask

"Yea she's my best friends sister. She's great, comes in here alone, dances, drinks a few beers and leaves, but I'm afraid you don't stand a chance dude." He replies while wiping the counter.

"Why you say that?" Feeling a little deflated

"She doesn't date, she lost her husband in Iraq 4 years ago and just never got over it." He says sadly "Many have tried, all have failed, she's in love with her husband. Tragic really, she's young." He says

"Do you have her number? I'd like to take her to coffee." I ask

"Dude, you heard her Bo, she said no. What kind of friend would I be if I gave it to you. Look, I love her like she's my sister, if you're just looking for a lay you gotta move on. She's been through enough."

"I get what you're saying but I'm not, I'm really interested, I just want to know her." I say, and I do, something about those blue eyes called to me, the way her dark hair moved as her body swayed to the music didnt help the way I moved to her like a moth to a flame. She had me hypnotized from the moment I saw her moving on the dance floor.

"Hey." Mikey yells.

"Yea sorry. I gotta go, Thanks Mike."

"Good luck Bo. Don't say I didn't warn you, hell so did she." He laughs and walks back to the ladies waiting.

Sloan POV

I finally pull off my red pumps with a thankful sigh. "I'm home!!" I yell, what follows is a loud thump upstairs followed by my huge Pit Bull Duke barreling ass down the stairs, practically tackling me to the ground. "I'm so happy to see you too lovey! Did you miss me?!" I coo as I scratch behind his ear. "I met someone today boy, it's nothing, but I felt something. Is that weird?" No it's weird you're asking your dog for advice Slo.

With a huff I head upstairs of my two bedroom townhouse, strip and shower quickly before sinking into my delicious bed. Tomorrow is Saturday and I don't have to be to work until 8.
