Summary

Lucia Bain was an older than normal college student attending Professor Logan's English literature and creative writing course. This did not stop Luci from instantly becoming smitten by the thin, proper Englishman whom headed the class. His sandy blond waves and closely cropped beard and mustache prevented him from looking younger than some of his students, all topped by the black rimmed spectacles he wore most of the time. He was always impeccably dressed with suits, slacks and waistcoats and ties. Would Lucia manage to seduce the professor or would it be the other way around?

Lucia slowly entered the auditorium careful not to make a sound as her eyes fell upon the professor leaning over his desk preparing for class. How she loved his class, for not only was the teacher easy upon her wide eyes but his voice wreaked havoc on her whenever she heard him speak. She slid herself into her usual seat at the center of the front row. Silently admiring her view as he was oblivious to her early arrival.

Her deep blue eyes trailed slowly up the pressed pant legs to his perfect posterior, hugged by the tailored grey suit slacks as he continued to adjust the pile of papers, readying them for the coming session. He stood upright now, scanning his handywork and reaching to massage the back of his stiff neck. It was at about this time he sensed the presence of another, turning on his heels to find the lone student he flashed a sweet smile at her.

Well Miss Bain, you’re early. We’ve still another fifteen minutes before class begins. Ready for today’s deluge of student written literature? It should prove rather interesting to see what you all have come up with.

Turning as he ended his comment he approached the blackboard taking up a piece of chalk. He began writting the next assignment as her eyes now scanning the span of his back. Oh how the dress shirt complimented his physique. Others students began to trickle in to the room but it did not deter her attention. Not until he chuckled at her gaze did she realize he caught her staring. Are you on another planet Miss Bain or here in my class room?

The blood flooded her porcelain cheeks as she shook her head, chocolate locks swaying against her face. Sorry sir, just thinking of the piece I handed in.” She was thinking about how her work was going to sound as he read it aloud. The thought of hearing him, to have his voice say those things, sent a quick shudder throughout her body.

He tilted his head to the side with a raised eyebrow at her answer. His hands firmly on either hip as he then gave attention to the others. Good afternoon all. I realize this was the first of several big assignments and so I do not expect any Shakespeare’s in the class, though it would be wonderful.

Professor Logan pushed his spectacles up the bridge of his nose and returned to finishing the next assignment. Once that was done he listed how many pieces they would get through each of the next four days. Lucia resumed her admiring as the remainder of the class had finished arriving and all took seats.

Professor Logan listed off five names of students that he was going to read for the class. “I will not say who’s work is what since I do not want discrimination when I ask you to critique them. You will each list what you like and don’t like using the title as reference”. Lucia held her breath waiting to hear if her’s would be called but to her dismay it was not.

The two hour course seemed far longer as he read the stories and poems of the first group. For the most part they were boring to Lucia, though she always enjoyed listening to Mr. Logan the stories lacked energy. While he read the last of them he paused mid-sentance, “Ah, I see I should have read these ahead of time”. He shot a glance at the clock with an almost pleading expression, it was obvious that he did not want to continue.

Hmm, I do appreciate self expression and free speech however I do not think certain things should be said in a classroom environment. For the sake of the story I will, shall we say, inject a more appropriate wording. Again, this will not affect the grade I just prefer not to say such things here.”  He glanced about the room clearing his throat then continued the short story. His choice of wording provoked a few chuckles from some students who knew what the actual words must have been but it did not sway his resolve.

As he came to the conclusion the bell sounded, “Remember, tomorrow will be the next five. I want you all to finish your write ups tonight and there will be a box at the entrance for you to deposit them”. He looked down at the paper in his hands and shook his head with a laugh before placing it on the pile of others.

The students seemed eager to leave most bolting with the professors last syllable. Lucia on the other hand paused momentarily realizing he was going to pre read her story, a heated blush spread over her face while she frantically collected her things to leave. A guilty looking sporty type of young man had lingered behind to speak with Mr. Logan, the undoubted author of the last story, giving the clumsy Lucia a chance to dart past them. She overheard Mr. Logan "Ah Jack my friend" he slaped the student's arm. "Dude, you really want to get me fired there? I mean, your stuff was good, really, it is just that we have a few under aged students sitting in on our class and I really don't need some parent storming up to the college complaining that her little girl or boy had to listened to Professor Logan saying stuff about, and I quote" picking up the paper and adjusting his specticles "ah yes here it is -Then I turned her over and started fucking her up that sweet tight ass of hers-. Now Jack...  Do you really think I could say that infront of minors? I mean Shit, it was good writing just not something I could blurt out infront of our younger students. So no worries 'K, you did great."

Lucia leaned against the wall outside the door fumbling to get a cigarette from her purse and light it. All was fine when she thought Professor Logan would cold read the papers without knowing who's was who's till after. But now he would read her story and she feared being the intelligent man that he was he would figure out what she was writing about. She began mumbling incoherantly as she pushed around in her purse for a lighter, the Newport perched between her lips when the distict sound of a Zippo lighter struck her ear. "Oh thank you" she said softly leaning into the flame. "Well... You really shouldn't smoke it isn't very good for your health, but who am i to preach, I smoke myself." He snaped the zippo closed and tucked it neatly into his waistcoat pocket. "Do not worry Ms. Bain I am sure yours will be just fine. I think after what happened today however I will just write the Titles on the board for all to copy and go from there. I will have had time to read them and know who's is which and then you all can give unbias reviews."

She could not even muster a responce before another professor came over and grabbed his arm to lead him away. "I'll see you tomorrow Ms. Bain, Have a good evening." Lucia watched as the two walked away towards the parking lots. She wondered if they were friends or just friendly collegues or worse, dating. For a brief moment a twinge of jealousey rose up in her throat before  good solid swallow forced it back down again. It was getting late and Lucia wanted to get home and relax, put the day behind her and perhaps write more about her short story she handed in, after all it was not an actual finished product.
