Author's Note: This is something small that I forgot about. It was written a couple years ago and I wanted to share it.

He made me a woman

He sees my barbies thrown away. He sees the two pigtails falling from my hair. He sees the tampons stashed under the bathroom sink. He sees my breasts fill out my bra. He sees my hair down and wild and free. He sees my nail polish going from a bright pink to a mature red.

He sees it and he looks at me in that way. That way that men look at a busty curvy blond sitting in a bar on a Saturday night looking for company. He looks at me the way a vicious starving dog looks at a piece of meat. But he says nothing. Neither does he look away. Because he doesn't have to. I'm his daughter. He owns me.

On a night where warmth sleeps, where rain pours, a pitter patter against the glass roof and windows, my door creaks. I pretend to sleep. But it doesn't matter. Cold air invades me, my thighs are spread, my underwear is ripped, and I can't breathe. And no amount of fake sleeping will stop it. Because I can't fake sleep. The pain is searing, a hot burning pain that feels like sandpaper scraping my insides. He waited until he saw the change in me, the transition and now the full transformation was complete. Because he poked and pawed at me, taking away the last traces of my innocence. He made me a woman.

DampKitten

Sobering piece of literature.
The title and final statement are profoundly antithetical to the truth, and a real father doesn't own his daughter. He just loves her.
Thanks for sharing...

It still takes two to tango.
In my opinion family incest is a direct result of a failed marriage.
Even if the couple are still living under the same roof.
Very few men will actually force themselves on their own daughter.
When daddy and daughters eyes meet for the first time IS the fork in the road.
I loved the brevity and sincerity of this always topical "Taboo".

Any father who so abuses his daughter isn’t worthy of the title!!! He should be drawn & quartered, stakes out on an anthill, and slowly devoured! There is no excuse for that kind of a violation of trust!!!

It was a normal piece of erotica until the last paragraph. I DID NOT see that coming, pardon the pun. I love the way you put it across from a neutral point of view, like a looking glass for us observers-readers. And to think there are warped relationships IRL like this too. YIKES.

I find that the point of view I used in this piece of work is my favorite point of view, even more than first POV which is usually my go-to. And I know there are fucked up father/daughter relationships like this in real life and it's disgusting. Thank you for reading this piece of work and leaving a comment. I really appreciate it.

First I’ll say very well written and horribly sad for our daughter. It’s written after the fact, like hindsight is 20/20 and she says it with sadness and resignation. If it had been in the moment and she was so innocent then I can guess she wouldn’t have realized that he was hungry for her. My gamble is that he was prepping her long before that night, she was expecting it to come without realizing what it was that was coming. That’s how the are! Monsters stealing innocence!
Second I’ve read your comments and replies and you speak of your own father and the fact that you’ve not experienced it personally, so I’m going to say again very well written, you must have done some sort of research or have personal knowledge. The fact that she pretended to sleep until she couldn’t no more is probably the most accurate, bone chilling, thing. Hoping he will think she can’t be woken and leave, but he won’t and if she does make too much noise and wakes mom he’ll just pretend she was having a nightmare and he made it to the room first. And if there is no one in the house to rescue her, she’ll close her eyes tight and pray for the nightmare to end quickly.

I swear you and DampKitten are the Queens of comments. They're always pretty long, very descriptive and says that the two of you are very observant when you read people's work. Everything you've said in the comment is correct. I question where my mindset was when I wrote this. Pieces like this are never based on my reality, and yet I somehow I find myself deeply connecting with people who go through this for reasons I don't understand. It's almost like I can put myself into the shoes of these victims. I think when it comes to this subject matter, it's mainly just books I've read so I guess that would be considered the research. Thank you for reading this and sharing your thoughts on it. Your comments always make me think, but in a good way :)
