Summary

If you have read my past poems you kinda get the idea that all my poems seem to have this sense of negativity. Point is, I was trying to write something more positive but, that didn't seem to happen... I tried, it really depends on your interpretation. I guess the wording seems dark, but when you look at it over all you kinda get the positive side of it...

A LIGHT

There I was,

traumatized and broken,

beaten bad,

yet,

no words spoken.

Fear and pain,

through out this domain.

Surrounded by negativity,

that was created by this world's twisted version of humanity.

Locked and segregated,

pulled and played,

hollowed out while death remain

Words are weapons,

yet they are still just sounds.

There I was,

lost and poisoned,

shattered mind and crumbled total,

left behind and in pain,

shallow words were in vain.

empty shell and destroyed soul.

that was me not so long ago.

Here I am,

pushing through,

daily life and tomorrow's news.

Mind still locked,

still so incomplete,

trying to fix what was the past,

yet realizing that life will not last.

I don't care for those that bring me pain,

remembering those things that find it great.

I am my own existence,

never to late to gain.

Here I am,

damaged being and slightly free,

found a light that can guide me.

Not new and improved,

just something using a ton of glue.

Proud yet hurt,

still unheard.

Lost of interest,

approval no longer needed,

stepping up against this segregation.

spreading my tattered wings

to find a reason.

So, here I am,

happy,

yes,

but,

broken still.
