April continues her encounter

Aprils mouth became dry. He was no longer a stranger. She wished he was. She had hardly uttered a word. In their 5 minute encounter she had barely whimpered. He walked towards her purposefully. The closer he got the more her heart raced. April became  aware of how ridiculous the situation seemed. The only thing that grounded her was the throbbing sting snaking across her right breast.  He approached April, a sympathetic half smile on his face. " The hotel are going to send a first aider to have a look at you. I thought you'd' be more comfortable in a room, with a seat"  April didn't know if it was a question. She smiled awkwardly, nodding slightly. The other men on the steps, all stood off to the side of them. His entourage obviously. " I'm taking the day off." He told them. They dispersed. Except from Alistair. There were a few people standing  beyond another set of glass doors. Some watching as they made their way through another set of glass doors. " Come on" He walked through the main floor, April followed and Alistair behind her. Through an archway with huge corridors off to the left and right they stopped in front of an elevator. April had so many questions. She was mortified she hadn't asked any. Where were they going? what was his name? Of course she knew his name. Did he know she knew who he was? Probably,by this point Aprils cheeks were blushing red. Although, he hadn't asked HER name. He hadn't said much at all. It was all so odd. The elevator opened, and the three of them stepped inside. Alistair pushed the button, 8th floor. Must be at the top April thought. The elevator was mirrored. She couldn't help but catch a glimpse of herself. April was horrified. Her shirt resembled a muddied rag. it clung to her body, sticky. Her eyes were dark where her tears had blurred her makeup. She had earlier in the day felt at her absolute peak. Beautiful and strong. She now felt ugly and vulnerable. The elevator stopped. The doors opened into another foyer. Alistair walked ahead, they followed still in the strangest silence. They came to a door, Alistair took a card from his inside pocket and swiped it through a port on the side.

The entered the room. April felt so far away, from everything she knew. They were now standing in the most beautiful room she had ever seen. Her eyes fell on a seat in the lounge area. " Have a seat" he said. she had almost forgotten what his voice sounded like. She sat in an armchair, trying not to knock the side table. She felt like she was fumbling. " Alistair, why don't you go have lunch. ill catch you up later" with that Alistair left through a door on the other side of the massive room.

They were alone. At least, as far as April could tell. He sat on a sofa opposite her. He looked at her and relaxed his shoulders . " I'm Mike" he smiled. April smiled back. " I know " she replied. " I'm April" she felt a little relief. " Mike raised his eyebrows a little." First aider should be here shortly. I cant apologize enough. Can i get you anything? Coffee? " Simultaneously, they began to giggle. He shook his head at himself. " Something cold maybe?" April laughed.
