Waking up on some stranger's floor or in somebody else's bed had become quite natural to me. I'd learnt to cope with the banging headache and the aching body of the mistakes and memories of the night before. Even sometimes I'd drink too much to even remember the night before. But it's all about living for the experience. Taking risks and never looking back. I guess you could say I was out of control. Partying every night, sleeping with different guys, shopping sprees every day with money I haven't got. Needless to say the list could go on.

I guess that's the fun part of life. I was living life to the full, taking those risks and experiencing everything. I mean, who would want to be controlled by a day-to-day job? Who would want to run in the 'society's way'? I'm all for the freedom of choice, choosing to make mistakes and creating memories, which by the morning I usually want to forget.

After university everyone is expected to run off and pursue their dreams, achieve a successful career and settle down with a family in society to be accepted. Not me. I will never settle down. I will never enter a stable job with a family of my own. I will never grow up. That's the way I like it.

____

Opening my eyes, I regained my sense to feel the heavy arm draped across my bare stomach. Turning around to look at the newest flavour of the night. Great. Another guy I didn't remember. I untangled myself from his naked body and stood up, ignoring the aching feeling I had down below. I wonder what did happen last night? I started glancing around the room till my eyes conflicted with 7 shinny bottles of empty liquor.

Well that answers my question. As I stared longer at the empty bottles memories started flooding back.

'Let's have a margarita party!' I screamed as we raided the shelves in the store. I'd already had a whole 3 bottles of wine with my friends, obviously I was tipsy. After we bought the tasty drinks we raced back to the party house.

The rest of the night span and spiralled around me as I danced on top of the counter. A glass of margarita in one hand and the other flying around as I moved my hips to the music.

After that the rest of the night was a blur, I couldn't even remember who I was in bed with 2 minutes ago.

I tried to push back the thought as I entered the bathroom. I pushed back the door and locked myself away from the night before. I was so tired. Too tired. I think I remember eventually 'heading off the bed' at 5:30am. Stupid alcohol!

Spotting the shower, I twisted the tap as I let the hot water run and I moved over to the sink.. As I held myself up via the sink, I sneakily took a peek in the mirror. My usual dirty- blonde, shinny curls were now dreadlocks that spiralled around my head. Although as bad as my hair looked, my make-up wasn't too bad. I had always been prepared to be too drunk to take it off so now I wear make-up that only comes off with wipes. The only thing that looked out of place was my rainforest hair, my smudged red lipstick and lack of foundation on my face. Not too bad right?

Finally, I dragged myself to the shower. Even though this was a guy's house I had managed to find a spare supply of Herbal Essences Shampoo & Conditioner hidden away behind the cabinet. Lucky me!

After showering away the dirty feeling of rough, drunk sex from last night, I stepped out of the shower instantly feeling the coldness of the air around me. My hair had now returned to its glossy and stylish ways and my face was make-up free. Now all I had to do was find my clothes. Oh crap! My clothes! What did I do with them?

In desperate pursuit to find my clothes, I basically ran to the bedroom. My eyes instantly connected with the fish tank. That had my designer shirt floating in the mouldy water. That was one of my favourite t-shirts! After 10 minutes of searching I finally found every piece of clothing except my shirt. I picked up my army jacket, ripped skinny jeans, underwear, bra and my wedge heels. What was I going to do about my shirt?

I looked around the room looking for materials. Eventually I saw a black button-up shirt in the corner of the room. I pulled it on and tucked the access material into my jeans. Honestly, my look wasn't too bad. However it's not one I'd usually wear. Oh well, I could have been stuck walking home in my bra.

After gathering all my possessions I could find, I skipped gently down the stairs. I was trying my hardest not to wake up the guy, I really just couldn't cope with the empty promises of me calling him and seeing each other again. We all know I was never going to make contact again. A mean as it sounds it's true. Why lie about something as blatant as that?

When I reached down the stairs I saw a number of people passed out on the floor, obviously not recovering from their hangovers just yet. I found myself searching for my best friend and my cousin amongst the crowd of 'sleeping lions'.

"Finally, Miss Margarita decided to wake up! Come on let's go before Brad wakes up to see you're gone...Since you did promise to marry him last night!" I heard my best friend Jasmine's voice whisper behind me. I turned around to see my cousin Jack standing beside her twirling his keys around his finger. Wait...Who was Brad? Marry someone? Yep, definitely too much to drink!

Jack saw the confusion on my face. " Ari, I know you're my cousin and everything but you've gotta stop drinking so much! Brad's the guy slept with and last night you promised to marry him," I was in complete shock, I can't believe it, "As pretty as a ring would look on your finger, I don't think you want a commitment...So unless you want to be owned by a guy I suggest we escape as soon as possible!"

"I seriously have no objections to that!" I almost screamed as I raced in and out between the dead bodies that lay on the ground. Once I reached the front door, I quickly jumped out and ran to the shinny convertible waiting for my swift escape.

After that Jack drove me home first. I lived in a stylish apartment in downtown. For me it is my dream, for others they'd call this a shabby living space. I may not live in the perfect area of New York, but to me it was amazing. I had designed my apartment around my design and personality. Each room is decorated with vibrant colours and abstract objects. I would usually have 2 walls white and two walls a different luminous colour depending on the room. I loved my artistic flare of an apartment. It was my home.

I said goodbye to my friends as they drove away leaving me with the company of my silence. As soon as I reached the final floor of the tower block I lived in, I stepped inside my creation. Instantly, I headed off to my bedroom to change into my natural, slob clothes. A night of partying is natural but sometimes a girl needs to relax and enjoy the comforts of her home.

Once I was changed into Hollister & Co track suit bottoms and my white vest top, I settled down to the couch, switched on the T.V and began to relax. My first thoughts were to check my answer machine. I picked up the phone and scrolled down to messages.

"You have 3 new messages."

"Why thank you kind answering machine." I turned my phone on loudspeaker and pressed '1'.

"Message 1 of 3: Hey, this Arianna. If you can't get hold of me I'm probably out partying or getting drunk somewhere. So yeah...leave a message after the tone!"

" Hey Ari...listen last night was...amazing. I still have your shirt here...So whenever you want it I'll be waiting for you. Forever waiting for you...So yeah get back to me sometime!"

Urghhh. You wouldn't believe how many messages I get like this. Take the hint. I left before you woke up, didn't wake you up with pancakes or some weird crap like that or left a cute little message saying 'call me'. What didn't they get?

"Message 2 or 3: Hey, this Arianna. If you can't get hold of me I'm probably out partying or getting drunk somewhere. So yeah...leave a message after the tone!"

"Miss Johnson, this is Mrs Taylor speaking from Clarke Enterprises. I would like to arrange a meeting with you as soon as possible. This is an urgent message and I advice for you to contact us immediately if you know what is good for you. Many thanks."

Posh snob. Who does this woman think she is? Demanding to speak to me, saying 'if I know what is good for me!' What does she know?...What did she want anyway?

"Message 3 of 3: Hey, this Arianna. If you can't get hold of me I'm probably out partying or getting drunk somewhere. So yeah...leave a message after the tone!"

" Arianna, it's your mother...Please call me back. I know you keep avoiding us, all we want to do is talk to you-"

My hand shot out and smashed the phone port. Never did I want to hear that voice again. Not after what she did to me...

After hours of lumbering around and doing nothing I found myself wondering about the message from 'Miss Snob'. What did she want? Who was she? What the hell was Clarke Enterprises?

I finally gave into my conscience and grabbed the phone. I re-dialled the number and awaited for someone to pick up. I could feel the nerves bubbling. What if it's debt? Cause we all know I've got A LOT of that!

"Miss Taylor speaking. How may I help you?" A very posh sounding lady spoke into the phone. Snob!

"Yes...I got a very...demanding voice message earlier saying something about me calling back, urgency...If this is about debt, well just leave me alone okay...I haven't done anythi-"

"Miss Johnson I can guarantee you this isn't about debt. What if I could get rid of all that debt? What if I could offer you everything you've wanted? What would you say to that?"

"I'm listening..."

"Meet me outside your apartment in 5 minutes. Be ready!"

"Wait! How'd you know where I live-"

'Beeeeeeppppp' The next thing I know is the other line hangs up, I'm left with nothing but questions and instructions to meet a stranger who happens to know where I live. Totally normal...

I pondered for a while on the idea of meeting with this mysterious women. For all I knew this women could be a psychopathic  killer, or worse...A debt collector! Eventually I gave into the curiosity and headed towards my bedroom to wear some decent clothes. After ages of debating I settled for my denim shorts and crop top finished with a pair of vans. Realizing I only had a minute left, I raced out the door eager to ease my anticipation and curiosity...

I walked out the door expecting gangsters to kidnap me, kill me and destroy the evidence. Just like the movies. But no, I was only greeted with a limo and hunch men standing outside the door. Least to say I was disappointed...Who wouldn't want to be involved in a gangster gang?

"Miss Johnson, please enter the car to speak to Miss Taylor...In private..." The biggest guy out of the two spoke. He stood there silently with his door holding open the door. Just to see a reaction out of the guy, I stood there silently, whistling awkwardly to waste their time. Eventually, the guy started tapping his foot

"Wow...No need to get your knickers in a twist buddy. This isn't Grand Theft Auto or some shit like that!" I challenged playfully whilst skipping towards the vehicle. I jumped inside the luxurious car to meet the gaze of a very professional woman.

"Hello Miss Johnson, I'm glad you've made yourself...comfortable..." The posh woman spoke formally towards me. She had golden blonde hair tied into a slick ponytail that was tied with a red ribbon. She wore a straight pencil and a white blouse that bagged over the top, and to top the style off she wore a pair of black stiletto heels. Even though this woman was probably a snob, she dressed with style and sophistication. Damn she looked good.

"Ah I assume you to be the infamous Miss Taylor. I would say how'd you do or some weird crap like that but honestly I ain't no snob...like you! So let's just cut the chit chat and tell me what this 'once in a lifetime opportunity' is?" I sat there confidently as we stared each other down. I waited impatiently for a reply as I crossed my tanned arms over my chest and sat there smugly.

"Miss Johnson, I understand that you are in serious financial debt. Living a life of parties and hooliganistic behaviour! What would you say if I could give you the finances you need and more? What if I could give you the life where you never have to worry about money? What would you say to that?"

"I'm sensing a catch..."

"All you have to do is tame this man. Alex Clarke. CEO of Clarke Enterprises, mega industry. Your job, if you choose to accept, is to make Mr Clarke fall in love with one woman, you, then break his heart so he can focus on his job and learn to grow up..."

"...So basically, all I have to do is..."

"Make him fall in love with you." Can't be that hard right? I mean think of all the riches I could live on...The party life! This is going to be a tricky job, but effort is equal to reward...right?

"Okay...I'll do it!"
