Chapter 1

Hi, my name is Emilia Crow and I am about to tell you a story. FYI, don’t ask about the name of the authoress. Should I mention that I am a Class-5 half- witch, half “Kitsune”? Meaning I am one of the most strongest halfling witches in the world, and I am about to and have found my true love. For those of you who are not familiar with mythology, manga, or anime refering the kitsune, I will explain. The kitsune are from Japanese folklore. A kitsune can have up to nine tails, depending on their age, wisdom, and power. The only way to kill us is to cut off all of its tails, because one of the tails is our main tail and the source of all our power. Not knowing which tail is the main one, one would have to cut off all our tails to kill it.One, five, seven, and nine tails are the most common numbers in the stories. When we kitsune gain our ninth tail, our fur becomes white or gold.We are shapeshifters. Some of us can morph other human beings, in other words morph into the look-a-likes of different people. We possess superior intelligence, long life, and magical powers.

The kitsune are a type of spiritual entity, this does not mean that we are ghosts, nor that we are fundamentally different from regular foxes. Because the word spirit is used to reflect a state of knowledge or enlightenment, all of us gain supernatural abilities. There are two most common classifications of kitsune. The zenko (literally good foxes) are the benevolent, celestial foxes that are associated with the god Inari; they are sometimes simply called Inari foxes. On the other hand, the yako (literally field foxes, also called nogitsune) tend to be mischievous or even malicious. Local traditions had added further types. For example, a ninko is an invisible fox spirit that humans can only perceive when it possesses them. Another tradition classifies kitsune into one of thirteen types that are defined by which supernatural abilities the kitsune possesses. Physically, the kitsune are noted for having as many as nine tails. These ky?bi no kitsune (nine-tailed foxes) gain the abilities to see and hear anything happening anywhere in the world, other tales attribute them infinite wisdom (Omniscience). There are thirteen different kinds of kitsune, each of them with a corresponding element, listed as follows: Heaven (or Celestial or Prime), Void (or Dark), Wind, Spirit, Fire, Earth, River, Ocean, Mountain, Forest, Thunder, Time and Sound. One of the most important things to us is freedom. We and I repeat, do not fare well to being locked away, and do not like to be forced to do something we don't want to. Doing something like that would be likely to get you killed if we are freed. The coven love playing tricks. We like to take things and hide them from people, or do just about anything else to piss someone off.

You know my name and my species. Friends and family call me Red or Emmy or Lia. Unfortunately for me, I am the strangest-looking girl ever. I am very attractive and enticing twenty-one year old, hell that’s what I have been told. I have flawless caramel skin, literally blue foxlike eyes, and red hair you see on a red fox. I am 5 foot 8 inches with a toned and curvy size 13 body. My body, instead of lean like my five loving, overprotective, and crazy sisters (Olivia, Kira, Alicia, Naya, and Savannah), is shaped like an hourglass and I mentioned curvy. My face is oval-shaped, instead of narrow or whatever. I have full lips and a straight nose.My coven is extremely diverse and if you are not related to the Crow family, you are still considered family. We have alliances from other covens that worship the Canidae family. Luck for us and like foxes, there are 37 different species of fox spirits. Twelve including myself and my family are the true foxes or genus vulpes. The twelve are best known as the Red fox, Artic Fox, Kit Fox, Fennec Fox, and the Gray Fox.

My family is made up of witches and fox spirits, and the witches in my family are one of the covens who worshipped a specific type of animal. My dad (John Crow) is the fox and my mom (Amani Crow) is the witch. Those witches are white witches to an extreme extent as you see and are considered weird, even by the Voodoo and Black witches. My coven (the Midwest coven) goes by many names; The Vulpine Coven, The Fox Clan, or The Kitsune Coven. I just call us The Fox Clan and we are good guys. Other white witches like us worship any famous animal that has been used in folklores. My clan is made up of different races such as, North, South, and West African, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Peruvian, Mesopotamian, Native American, European, and other cultures that worshipped foxes or are fox spirits. I, myself, am Black, Japanese, Native American, and European; but, I consider myself black. My dad is Native American, Japanese, and European. My mom is Black and European. Yes, I can shape shift into a red fox with blue eyes and an anthropomorphic red fox. I can do white magic and shaman magic, and like everyone. The fox spirits are immortal and the witches just age extremely slow like Wolverine. FYI, we would never hurt an innocent intentionally, and lucky us, the only humans that know of the paranormal communities are psychics and paranormal theorist or groupies. No one would actually believe them since the other humans are not very imaginative or open minded.
