Prologue
In the ages before civilization when men roamed the free world for the first time on two legs they had already been there. In the darkness they flourished, feeding upon the living animals, devouring them, lusting for that eternal cry of their prey, a scream for their soul as life was torn away.
In packs they would terrorize the night, shunning the day, to whisk unseen onto those hapless creatures that so beckon to them. Some were drawn to the weak, craving the screams of pity and anguish their torment would reward them with. Others would seek out the strong, consume their bodies, plague their minds to do their bidding and lay havoc among those around them. All would turn the fears, love, and lusts of their victims to please their taste for the suffering. They ruled the world unchecked with no equal or master to contain them.
Man over time became wise, they learned the ways of the world and its inhabitants, friends and foes. They became strong, and pushed back the night. They broke the packs of unseen enemies, tearing them asunder through shear might and faith. They formed their own groups and hunted down those that would feed upon them, killing those as animals just as they had once been preyed upon. Over the centuries, man hunted such that the pack could no longer bond, each racing from the death that followed, dying alone and weak, leaving but a few to survive to the modern world, the strongest, the most wily and cunning to walk the night like shadows and ever just beyond the sight of man.
He was in a dream, a vision of a life long ago, deep in a frenzied ecstasy that no words can describe, bathing in the blood of those around him, a coyote in the chicken pen, a wolf among sheep, a giant among men. Their bodies, their blood, the souls torn from their shorn flesh fed his lust of women and appetite for the death of men. He cries out loud, a scream of lust that rang through the night, a voice of thunder and crackling lightning, no more shall he go unseen. No more shall he hide in the shadows, all shall tremble this night and beg him for release for he is a god and cannot die.

I wanted to make sure to at least get this prologue read today as I see you have so many chapters that follow. I can't wait to read them. I wish I had more time. This beginning has wet my appetite for more. I will probably tackle a few chapters tonight after the dear children have run off to bed and I get some quiet back!

The Prologue took a while to get finished but I couldn't decide what to write until a few days ago. I hope it is written well enough to attract some attention.
