A lighthouse keeper hears lost love weeping on the wind.

Siren’s Song

I haunt a lighthouse by the sea, where Siren’s dreams devour me.

My prison has no need for locks, atop its dark, forbidding rocks.

I climb each stair to tend the light, that fends off ships both day and night.

Come screaming wind, or driven rain, I welcome storms that numb my pain.

This lonely light caresses waves, that shelter sunken sailor’s graves.

And I abide beside the sea, where beauty’s beacon beckons me.

I conjure em’rald eyes aglow; I thrust against her undertow.

I hunt the hollows of her heart; I long for lust that won't restart.

I savored so her silken thighs, awash in needs we galvanized.

I hunger for her hasty hips; I curse each kiss that went amiss.

Green eyes cerebral, carnal gleam, pervade my waking, aching dream.

My naughty, supple, sensual muse, was fair and fine and mine to lose.

Unlucky men may never know, the bane of beauty’s afterglow.

On winter winds that sting my soul, her Siren's song exacts its toll.

But I will never feign regret, for ecstasies I can’t forget.

Long ago this song was sung, for me you sung, admired hung!
There on my beach you sang and splashed ~ I wet your joy as noodle slashed!
Tears of joy you shed for me, as all your honey flowed so free...
Rewriting now, doesn’t it prove, you miss my touch & heart is moved?

I thought I was just a guy. Sometimes words work. Sometimes not. Hope you found something here for your mind and memories.

Sorry, wrong Siren’s Song! In the other one my beautiful Princess shimmered in the moonlight in my private cove, secure in the knowledge that she was very special to me!

I love sad songs and this one presents another love I have of lighthouses. Love the tempered flow of this that makes me weep what the Lightkeeper misses. :)

Thanks. Rainy here on the coast. I can see a lighthouse from my window.

As I've said before, you have a great sense of meter to go along with your gift of rhyme. Sirens, of course, are monsters concealed by physical beauty with alluring voices that call sailors to their doom. I find them fascinating. They must be just outside your window by now, wondering what it would feel like to cuddle up beside you in the sauna sipping your hard lemonade.
