Two lovers an ocean apart

Footprints

Where sunny sands meet distant seas your flaxen beauty calls to me,

My tattered heart, once torn apart, must sense a sensual spark to start.

In shining sun you ply your shore, awash in dreams your heart implores.

While I, in thrall, tread shrouded coasts, beguiled by haunting beauty’s ghosts.

We search for footprints never made on sands unmarked by mortal waves.

Ahhh, I knew you were a poet and you relay so well the sweet agony of separation from the one you love. Beautiful.

Thanks provocative poetess. Sometimes short is sweet.

Very interesting concluding line, J. I like that. This isn't someone you've lost. This is someone you've never found.
