The massive impact of air...

Common Death

i die

the common death

of a common life

silent obscurity

insensitive dismissal

innocuous nothing

an empty orb

translucent, delicate, meaningless

clinging to hollow limbs

leafless branches

anonymous bubble

awaiting

atmospheric intrusion

briefly lived

adrift

i bleed

iridescent rainbow seed

i breed

soap skin children

I'm glad its in progress. It seems unfinished.

I love this poem, the metaphors ,it feels I can taste them as I read them and it feels good as I read them and try to understand and feel and it feels sad but the metaphors , my favourite is "anonymous bubble awaiting atmospheric intrusion".

But I didnt get what " iridescent rainbow seed " means?

iridescent rainbow seed is a bubble
the fragile image of our existence

Thanks for diving into this one, girl.

Sad but sweet and pensive. Contemplating the delicacy of life and everything in it.

Thank you. Delicacy is a good word. Fragility, maybe. Hopeless finality teetering on the edge even at its most viable state.
Thanks for reading, girl!

You're not dying, are you? This is so sad.....

Not that I'm aware of, but thanks for your concern, DL! Sometimes I write morbid things. I do have a curiosity about death - an awareness, you might say. When you work in health care and you see it frequently, you come to contemplate it. This really isn't about death so much as it's about anonymity.

Thanks for reading, DL!
