Those brown eyes did distract me when we met,
And how you teased me before you knew me.
But all I knew were men who made me fret,
Yet for some odd reason I did not flee.
When fears of you leaving filled my spirit,
You stood by my side to comfort my heart.
Even when thoughts that there’d be a limit,
You told me nothing could tear us apart.
And here we are so happy and in love,
My heart swells whole with happiness with you.
Eternal like the sparkling stars above,
Nothing could ever make this love askew.
Tomorrow will bring us more challenges,
But nothing will break our love for ages.

I'm a rhyme girl, so that attracts me to your poem right away...plus the sentimentality of this is really striking. Very personal...2nd person narrative adds to that, and I like the way you start the piece, in particular focusing on the eyes, which is usually the physical feature I notice initially in a guy. It's warm with a soft passionate air, optimistic and uplifting. He should love it!
A well thought out, well designed poem... You draw a reader in, then fill his mind with sin!
CM, this really sweet. I love.the flow of your lines from one to the next. Very good. Really like this ;)
