Topic: How far is too far?

How far is too far for the purposes of this site and house.
how do you have a discussion about what you're not supposed to write about.
Is me and or a character of mine talking/writing about playing 'doctors and nurses' in their early teens too far. e.g. embellished actual events
where do you start ( if you do at all )

Re: How far is too far?

??? I'm confused a little bit, hahaha.

Re: How far is too far?

Q) If I wanted to write a story on that theme, tags say; m&f 12yr olds, 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours', 'doctors and nurses', bike sheds. Given the day and age we live in, would it be published on this site and more to the point would it be published without the brown stuff being in proximity to the rotating objects
A) a)best not
    b) try it and see
    c) depending? / other

So, again just how far is too far?

Re: How far is too far?

really enjoying the cut and thrust of open and incisive debate you find on here

Now I see why the biggest thread on here is called 'Is there any one there'

so for that reason I'm out.

Re: How far is too far?

Why is it that everyone always has to feel like they have to push the windows of what they can get away with? Can't you just write a work to entertain, & benefit others without trying to see if you can shock everybody!?!

Re: How far is too far?

Are there limits? If so, what are they. My publisher will not touch anything with incest or underage sex. Are those taboo here? If so, too bad. I guess those things never happen in real life, do they?

Exactly...hence my question, but they did happen, nobody was forced, well she wasn't, it was her idea, all part of life's rich (growing up) pagent imo
but I don't now expect any sensible answer...or any answer at all tbh
I'll write it all down for posterity to read when i'm gone.
thanks, i'm done here

Re: How far is too far?

It depends what you mean and in which context you are referring to.For me nothing is taboo. It's a forum so let's be open to all subjects even if some subjects might be controversial or come close to crossing the line.

Re: How far is too far?

Hello,
Miss Eileen. I really liek your post
I am a erotic etory writer and I wonder how far we should go sexually?
What I mean is that people live and desire a relationship with members of the complementary sex. It’s a natural, kissing and sharing a bed, moving in together, having sex and here is the question how far we should go?
I read an article that explaining the stages of the relationship.
First stage: Talking, eye contact, touching ( signs of affection)
Second:  Affectionate, but with potential to become lustful. ( kissing, touching )
The next stage: Sexual stimulation.
In our amazing minds of creativity we can imagine so many ways of sexual stimulation but when it comes to determining where to draw the line our minds becoming confused..... so how far is too far ?

Re: How far is too far?

I think in my opinion we do too much thinking when sex or having sex is a basic instinct.
I am an open person who is up for any challenge but if I don't like experimental situations I don't tend to repeat them.
I enjoy lustful fore play and games. The furnace needs firing up.sometimes but the bees always supply me with ample honey supplies lol.I think we have to respect the wishes and desires of our partners in sex or love.It should be spontaneous.

Re: How far is too far?

The site states what is too far. No incest, no bestiality, no sex with people under 18. There is a term about not going too far. I guess that is the consensus of the community of society, or maybe just the owner of the site.

Re: How far is too far?

Personally, I have very few limits.  I don't think that sex should hurt anyone. If you're not enjoying or consenting to what is happening, you should be free to exit.  As far as writing is concerned I believe everyone should be able to have an outlet for their expression.  Anything else is censorship and I believe people should be allowed to censor themselves and not be censored by others.  If you don't like what you see or read then don't expose yourself to it.  Just because I don't want to drive a Ford doesn't mean others shouldn't have the opportunity.  That said, I think everyone has the responsibility to conform to the values of where they chose to live and the morals there.
