Topic: Hello, anyone here?

Is there anyone in this group? Just wondering. How is everyone doing?

Re: Hello, anyone here?

Hi ,
Thanks for asking.
I am just finishing the next chapter of "Letter from Mr.Smith" .
How are you?

Re: Hello, anyone here?

Doing well. Forums are quiet. We need to get them a bit more active. Anyone else also want to say hello? Why do you write erotica? Me, it's a way to live out my fantasies.

Re: Hello, anyone here?

The same with me.
I think that is easy to write for them than to say it

Re: Hello, anyone here?

Hello. I just joined. Seemed like a good place for my type of writing.

Re: Hello, anyone here?

I do hope these forums get some traction! It's one thing I missed switching to this writing site, but my last one didn't accommodate erotica.

I write erotica because of a dare. I wish I wasn't joking. NaNoWriMo 2014, I finished my novel before I finished the month, and one of my writing buddies dared me to write an erotica. I found it amusing but nothing more than a dalliance. Then I read 50 Shades of Grey and was so incensed by its depiction of BDSM I had to rewrite it from a sympathetic perspective. Mind you, I'm not even involved in the community. I had some very accommodating friends take me on field trips to bondage clubs just so I wouldn't commit any faux pas myself. From that point, I got kinda sucked in to the erotica community. I don't even have time to write anything else!

Let's get them going!

Love you story about how you came to write erotica. I'm going to check out your work.

I started to write erotica because quite frankly it turned me on putting my fantasies onto paper. I'm not sure I'm very good at it but I enjoy the process. I hope to write something else soon when I get the time.

Re: Hello, anyone here?

I've felt I am in a bit of a rut lately with my writing. The ones I have posted just kinda flowed, but I have been having trouble getting my mojo back lately. I've started over numerous times on two of my stories and I am still not feeling it. Any tips?

Re: Hello, anyone here?

Hi Folks

I love writing all forms of romance, especially erotica.  I like to think that my traits are witty dialogue and vivid prose. But you shall be the judge of that.  I have one story available at the time of posting this, but will be uploading weekly.

This week's short story is a tale about a young professional woman who had the world at her feet. But her circumstances soon change and she finds her world unraveling into a seedy, sordid but sexy mess.

I've enjoyed reading your posts, so seems only fair that I tell you a little about me. Making people laugh is the cornerstone of my life. As such, I do my best to portray this in my writing. I’m also a believer in love so it's natural that I find writing romance comes easy.

My day job is a corporate trainer which i enjoy, but writing remains my passion. I ghost-write as a freelancer which i'm happy with for now, but my ambition in life, like most here,  is to become a full time novelist.  Needless to say that I have a very understanding wife.

Re: Hello, anyone here?

Hi, I'm new the BooksieSilk site. I have a Booksie account though, if you are familiar with Her Lovely Dead Knight, well that's me, haha. But I'm really looking forward to sharing some of my work on here. I have never written an erotica novel before so this will be a little interesting for me, haha. smile

Welcome!

Re: Hello, anyone here?

I came to silk because I felt that a few of my stories were just a little too "Over the line", graphically, for that work to stay on Booksie.com... Most of my work remains over there, & in fact, I am conscientiously working on a way to get all of my work here on Silk, either published, or deleated as soon as circumstance permits. I find a comeraderie with many of the authors here, but also find many of the writers to be rude, insulting, vulgar, & very distasteful!

My intent has always been to stimulate other people's brains to action, & I very much appreciate and admire those authors who can find a way to accomplish that task with my brain. I will always do my best to comment in a positive way to those stories I read which are not offensive to me. I rarely can tolerate the lascivious attempts at story-telling which include forceful violations of another person's physical space... Even worse are the tales of attacks, rapes, and abuses of innocents... In real life, if I were to encounter any of those types of activities, I'd probably commit a serious act of heinous violence against the perpetrators of those acts! Thanks for indulging me with your time!

I believe that you may be well served to come to my page & read my selections, since I strive for excellence within my work & have posted what I feel are my best efforts to provide entertainment & enjoyment to my readers!

I'll certainly check out your writing.

I hear you on this although I have mixed feelings. I've read many stories about rape where the writer was a woman. Female rape fantasies seem to be a powerful force. I know most women don't want to be raped but there is something deep in the human psyche that responds to the thought of being forced into sex, especially by an attractive male. These are very difficult issues.

Re: Hello, anyone here?

Hello I'm here lol,but well the jury is out on the useful aspects of these forums.I'm not convinced that they are really fit for purpose and serve our needs.Having said all of that it's better to have the option than none at all.

Re: Hello, anyone here?

Hi Amy! What did you think of the post I put here? I'd love to know your slant!

Hi, Spyguy!  I agree with you that I also attempt to make positive comments on the things that I have read which are not offensive to me.  Otherwise I will not comment.  With that said, I do want to be encouraging if someone has invited me to read something.  I will give my opinion without being hurtful or rude.  I do not believe that does any good.  Like any art form, writing is an expression of self and is a beautiful outlet unique to everyone.

Re: Hello, anyone here?

Hi everyone!  I have joined this forum because I have an interest in what others think about Booksie Silk and erotica in general.  I have not been active as of late but I have several short stories posted on Booksie Silk.  I haven't had many comments on my work for a while and would like to hear from readers as to what they think of my stories and how they are presented.  I am always trying to improve my writing skills.  I joined in 2012 and had some success but it seems like I have been relegated to the back of the bus as of late.  I would like to know what it takes to get more responses to my stories, and how to get more to read my work.  If you have the time and inclination, please read some of my stories.  I'm sure you will find something to your liking.  All comments are welcome.

I like BS as it is provides a great outlet for my writing of erotica more so than Booksie.  I would have to say my presence there is minimal but still there for stories and poems I deem to suit there more so than here.

As far as inciting interest in your writing, you can invite folks to read your stuff and read other people's stuff and leave comments.  You can also apply popular tags to your writing, and one other way to garner interest.  I find the best way to remain in the readers eye is to continue to writing and post things to read.  Otherwise, I believe it is difficult for newcomers to see anything you have written in the past or can be directed to something that you wrote.  So to you I say, keep writing, and folks will come and visit.  wink

Re: Hello, anyone here?

Hey all, new here.

I had a profile on Booksie, but I deleted it as I'd only made it today. All my writing is erotic, so when I learned of this place, I was all about. I'm excited to have people read my writing, but also, to read other's work. I'm still filling out my profile, but you'll see more of my shorts very soon.
