Think about it.
The happiest years of most of our lives are between the onset of puberty and about 25.
Yes it is true that these years can see most of us " lost in space" .
The safety nett is in most cases there to " break our fall".
Serious relationships start to " mature" in our mid twenties for most of us.
Instead of having one rolling dice to contend with for Numero Uno we have a number of dice in play.
These belong to our partner and their friends and both families.
Imagine the mathematical reality of just ONE rolling dice V six or eight.
The endless possibilities of others' problems all intertwined with our own make for a problematical future.
I don't see more than the odd smiling face in the over twenty fives.

Thanks for reading and replying Amy
Life is for the young, the attractive and the talented. In my case though I've only ever been young. However, I've had a lot of good times and even now I still often enjoy life but to be honest I hate being old and I spend a lot of time dwelling in the past.

It is ok to reflect on it when we get old

I find that each moment of significance builds upon another to bring me to this very moment where with the some of my experiences are some of the best. While not everything is sunshine and rainbows and certainly more responsibility tempers freedom, I am happier more than I have ever been realizing that I am made for this moment and enjoy it as it comes for nothing is promised tomorrow and you can't live in the past. It is simply a fine photo to remember but not strive to return to. I much prefer living in the now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with this one. :)
