After a night of frenzy,

of fantasies fulfilled,

of wild dreams spent,

of passions satiated,

I looked at your body,

at your sleeping head,

at your supple limbs

arranged to elicit lust,

at the delight promised

by your elusive treasure

placed firmly between

the pillars of your legs.

I looked at you fondly,

my desire now dormant,

and I left you to your sleep

to lose myself in memory

in the city of my love

with the river as my witness.
