Some nights I lay alone

Scrolling through my phone

Wondering if you'd still remember me

My heart breaks thinking what could be

But you're gone ne're returning

Even though my heart is yearning

For one more heartfelt glance

That gentle but strong embrace

It's been too many years

You left, then came my fears

I see your smiling face

In every happy place

And still I miss you so

Wish you never had to go

 In sweet heavens realm

You're standing at the helm

Steering my Heart to its peaceful slumber.

For Aaron

Wonder Woman

Aww sweetie, I know how much he touched your life.
I just realized yesterday was the anniversary of his death.
So brave of you to put everything aside and take me to the airport.
I love you Doll face!

What a gentle and sweet tribute to someone who obviously meant a lot to you. My condolences, dear woman.

Yes..Aaron, we met while I was traveling across the country. He was a special person.
I wrote about him in The Long Trip chapter 10.
Still miss him.
