It's getting hard to tell the difference
I hate the person staring back at me
My reflection
Is not of me
But of your perception
This earthly body
Doesn't do my soul justice
You can't see the demons
But they never let me forget
Look forward to the day
I can shed this skin
Transform into light
And live among the stars

Hey, I've been wondering what happened to you!
"This earthly body doesn't do my soul justice" - just wow on that line! Really superb. I also like how you bring out 'reflection' is really the 'perception' of others. We're caught up in society's standards...it's skin thin superficial...
"Transform into light" - the perfect solution. The ultimate goal.
Well conceived poem, girl. I really like it...
Yes, I wrote it for you! And for every other Princess like you who struggles to see herself for who she really is when she looks in the mirror!

I see the angelic Princess when I look at you;
Thu, September 30th, 2021 7:21amThe well-beloved Daughter, Father does see too!
When in the mirror, you don’t see:
Blessed Princess, truthfully!!!
Just because your eyes don’t notice…
Doesn’t change the flowering lotus~
Father sees what you can’t Princess
I DO see you, I now witness!
