Well, Van is a dickhead and Pete seems like a nice guy. I'm trying to connect with Ben. I've got his physical description in mind. He sounds like a 'yes man', intelligent and capable, but never went the extra mile until arriving at Noble. Now that he gives it his all, what he gets in return is a kick in the balls.

"The leadership section" is composed of witches? Interesting. This powerful company is essentially headed by women? Is that what you're saying? Sounds like they have an agenda and it probably has to do with gender. I wonder what the other two infractions Ben has already accomplished might be?

I think when you make Ben a frat brother, that gives him a certain character stigma that needn't be elaborated - that is to say, we assume he's a party animal. Not to suggest he isn't interested in work or productivity, but nerds don't join frats except in the movies. I like how you present him as submissive, avoiding conflict.

I sense that there's minimal if anything actually wrong with Ben's work. Dom is playing her power game as are the members of her coven. She wants him on his knees.

Ahh, but I never assume anything. Frats boys party just like everyone else, but many of them use those connections in every facet of life, at least so they've told me.

The section of the company where Ben works is run by women who give him hell by the sound, and it is apparently not all his fault. He is working harder than he ever has had to up to this point. He is also learning that navigating an office with hostiles without using charm is difficult. However, he's doing his best. It is all anyone can do in his position.

Dom wants something all right, but not sure if it's Ben on his knees precisely. :D
