No Moon
No moon.
No sound at all,
but the wind.
Tonight,
I am the only one
left on earth.
My heart
is a trifle,
Eagerly given
only to those
just as eager
to return it.
The longing
of this wind!
The mad dance
of these trees!
Ah, restlessness,
we are one!
Am I
an utter fool,
hungry for love,
chasing shadows,
clutching after
the dancing wind?
Alone,
in agony,
soaking pillows
and bedclothes,
I hear the wind...
it has no substance.
“Divorced
white leaf,
seeks tender leaf,
storm wind driven,
for mad
tumultuous stillness”.
