That's an extremely interesting first chapter, Pandita! You really have my attention when the speaker gets into the scars and attack. Very poignant. I love the history getting back to this high school crush thing. These are two potential lovers who got star crossed because she didn't sign her note, then there was this horrific occurrence after the party. That's a lot to take in on a stormy midnight at the office. I immediately see the origins of your title. Great start to your book
