Dark Hymns

With dark hymns for our bones,
yet we are not alone,
your tongue caressing,
my carotid arteries.

As my toesies tremble,
in our piney-wood box,
silently, earth awakening,
to the seven-year itch.

Beneath the moonlight,
as my blue veins pulse,
lusting for your thorax,
and locust wings.

As the moss swings,
on your breasts of willow,
in the orchard of stones,
with dark hymns for our bones.
