Suffering post-traumatic stress from wrestling with the dark as it reached out and grabbed me. I was listening to the silence. Like a cloak of a shadow, it caressed me with a silky mist as if a breath of condensation from lips of a ghost on the lawn>But it was only the garden hose as if a python snake entwining me as I got the shakes. Beneath the willow tree, as I ran to my destination for poetic oxygen that freed me of my trembles. Only to find a raven pecking at a cuttlebone as it reached out and grabbed me as I was listening to the silence and Hitchcock's, "The Birds," before a shadow caressed me, on Route 666.

You've got a dark possession, Atticus.
I'd classify this more as poetry than a short story. Consider arranging it in stanzas as free verse.

You have a ton of symbolism in this piece, metaphorical allusions. It's almost 'too' concentrated with imagery, if you get what I mean.
