The night is where I wish to be, for dark is my destiny,
dressed in raven wings, no more fears to breathe,
but loneliness is dark, like a hollowed-out shoe.

Sinking into my obscurity behind lids of cataracts,
memories we shared, with an owl's tu-whit tu-whoo,
giving me head, the eve we wed.

As a ghost of scream, climbing walls of my theme,
the tempest flee beyond the freeze,
like winged dryads in the trees.

Hedge-hopping weeds, crossing the moats,
for our love is like a blood-red tattoo,
memories we shared, with an owl's tu-whit tu-whoo.
