Endless Nights Going Nowhere

Short story By: FrootLoop246

This is my entry into R A B Bradbury's songs contest. My chosen song was The Cutting Crew's "I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight." This is the story of Joey and Trini.

"Oh, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been something you said
I just died in your arms tonight
whoa, whoa

I keep looking for something I can't get
Broken hearts lie all around me
And I don't see an easy way to get out of this
Her diary, it sits on the bedside table
The curtains are closed, the cat's in the cradle
Who would've thought that a boy like me could come to this
whoa, whoa

Oh, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been something you said
I just died in your arms tonight
Whoa, whoa
Oh, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been some kind of kiss
I should've walked away, I should've walked away, I should've walked away

Is there any just cause for feeling like this
On the surface I'm a name on a list
I try to be discreet, but then I screwed up again
I've lost and found, it's my final mistake
She's loving by proxy, no give and all take
'Cause I've been thrilled to fantasy one too many times

Oh, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been something you said,
Whoa, whoa
I just died in your arms tonight
Oh, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been some kind of kiss
I should've walked away, I should've walked away

It was a long hot night
She made it easy, she made it feel right
But now it's over, the moment is gone
I followed my hands, not my head,
I know I was wrong

Oh, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been something you said,
I just died tonight
Whoa, whoa
Oh, I just died in your arms tonight
It must've been some kind of kiss
I should've walked away, I should've walked away
I should've walked away, I should've walked away
I should should should've walked I should've walked away."

~Endless Nights Going Nowhere~

She was insatiable, Joey thought, watching this woman as she moved in rhythm above him. Absolutely insatiable. Her long, slender fingers stroked his chest, and he managed to take his eyes off her supple breasts long enough to glance down at them. Her fingernails weren't painted any color, but they shined like they were well-taken care of.

He smiled. She was a woman who knew how to take care of herself.

She rode him harder and he soon felt his balls tighten; his crisis was coming.

"Trini," he moaned, placing his big hands on her sides, eager to slow her moving down and make this moment last. He knew it was wrong, but a night with this woman had turned his feelings into something he hadn't expected. It was still just sex to her, but for him, it was more.

He'd known her for years. Her name was Katrina, but he'd always called her Trini. He'd fallen in love with her the night he met her, but she wasn't the type of girl who loved back, so he took what he could get from her; she was a warm body to run to every time another woman broke his heart. This time, it was Lucy Dillon.

Looking up into Trini's sparkling blue eyes, both of them filled with passion and pleasure, Joey knew that he'd been the reason Lucy had broken his heart. He couldn't be 100% with her, because too much of him was with Trini. He'd known calling her after Lucy walked out on him tonight, claiming she was tired of being ignored was a bad idea. He was too hung up on a woman who would never love him back, and the more he went to her, the harder it would be to get over her.

But he'd done it. Just like every other time, he'd found himself in Trini's bed.

Joey found himself eyeing her full lips; they were parted, and as she rode him slower like he'd urged her, she was already tightening up around his painfully throbbing erection. He watched her come, closing her eyes, dropping her jaw, and throwing her head back as she moaned just so softly.

"Joey," she sighed. Her chest rose and fell as she rode her orgasm out, then finally, she was his for the taking. With one powerful move and a surprised gasp from Trini, Joey threw her on her back and pulled himself between her thighs, never once leaving her body. He was still rock hard and the sight of flushed pink cheeks, her breasts glistening with sweat was more than a turn on to encourage him to pump harder and harder in and out of her body.

Joey felt his balls contract once again, and her thin legs were wrapped around his waist as she ate up every bit of himself that he was giving her. She squirmed, wiggled and twisted around underneath him, and he could feel her tightening up around him as she started to come again. He pumped in and out of her harder and harder until he felt his own orgasm rip through him, leaving them both breathless in a heap on her bed.

"You're an animal," he heard her chuckle breathlessly after a few moments. He smiled and gathered enough strength to lift himself off of her and rolled onto his back.

The bed moved, and he rolled over, watching her get to her feet. The room was dark, and the curtains were closed with a slight slit letting the full moonlight spill into the room. In the light, her naked body looked magnificent. He almost got hard all over watching her stretch. She turned to face him, and he took in all her beautiful curves before she snatched his shirt from the floor and put it on. As much as he would have liked to continue watching her naked body in the moonlight, he thought she looked equally sexy in his big shirt. It barely touched the top of her thighs, and she didn't button it all the way down, so when she moved, it opened enough for him to see that sweet spot between her legs.

He gritted his teeth.

Trini leaned over, kissing his lips before heading to the bathroom.

While she was gone, he just laid there, thinking. He looked around her bedroom. The sight was familiar. Her diary was on her bedside table, where it always sat, and otherwise, nothing remarkable stood out in her otherwise average bedroom. She just had a bedroom suite, the same one she'd had the entire ten years he'd known her. The mattress still squeaked, even.

Joey's eyes locked on that diary, wondering what she wrote about. She once asked him if he thought it was dumb she kept a diary at twenty-nine. He'd simply laughed at her, kissed her neck and told her it wasn't dumb at all. He'd told her everything about her was perfect.

God, how many women's hearts had he broken over Trini? Probably far more hearts than she'd broken over him. He wondered if she wrote about him in her diary, or if she wrote about other men. He knew there were other men, and he pretended to be OK with it. They were just friends, after all.

He shook his head. No. Not just friends. Not to him.

Too many nights he'd spent in this room with her, letting her thrill him to fantasy. Just one too many times. He was spent, and under her spell; he just had no idea how to get out of it.

She came out of the bathroom and slid back into bed with him.

"Do you feel better?" she asked him when he put his arm around her.

He smiled. "About what?"

She looked up at him, confusion on her pretty face. "Uhm, Lucy? Isn't that why you called me, Joey? To forget about Lucy?"

Of course. Lucy. "Oh, yeah. I'm alright."

She chuckled, and put her forehead on his shoulder. She fell asleep just like that.

Joey finally peeled himself away from her, dressing quietly, not wanting to wake her. He walked to the door, and took one last look at the sleeping woman he would never have before he walked out, whispering softly, "I love you, Trini," along the way.
