He looked towards his enemy

His eyes sparkled like a hungry lion

Sweat rolled from his face

Mouth was completely dry

Chest heaving with every breath

His rifle was loaded bayonet fixed

He lifted the rifle with shivering hands

Placed the butt against the shoulder

He lifted the butt a bit with right palm

Placed it over his right shoulder

He aimed the rifle at the head

He hesitated so he lowered it a bit

The enemy was still fast asleep

He held the breath and came closer

At once, he thrust the bayonet in

When he pulled, it was fully moist

The enemy tossed with a jerk in pain

In confusion he fired in the same position

He had pushed the whole bayonet inside

He forgot to fire at will only when needed

Firing continued until every bullet used

He lowered his head for premature firing.
