It happened Long ago, during The Great War, a plague struck humanity. This plague caused by military experiments, to make a better solider, nearly wiped out life and mankind as we know it.
It was discovered that thought the disease was fatal to humans; the entire animal kingdom was immune. As a result, the geniuses of the human race got together and decided to genetically alter human beings.
So mankind underwent the genetic change, and combined our DNA to that of animals in order to survive. This change had various side-effects. Some humans developed extra special abilities, while others took on the complete appearance of the animals, despite the fact that they still walked around on two legs and spoken in human tongue.
Now the human race was split into four groups. The first group was called: Alphaniteas. This group developed traits of the animals that they were genetically change to, and also inherited special abilities. They also had the ears, tails and various features of the animal they were morphed to.
The second group was called: Betaians. This group, while similar to the first group, did not have those extra abilities. Only the animal features. This was the most common group. Nearly the entire human race belongs to this group.
The third group was called: Gammnites (or Normies as some like to call them). This was the group that retained every feature of their humanity. They did not gain the animal abilities or features.
The last group was called: Omegrons. This was the group that was very rare. When this group of human was genetically altered, their form regressed to that of the actual animal. Though they retained their speaking abilities and basic understanding, their appearance was nothing like humans.
But the one side-effect that took hold of everyone was longevity. It seemed that the entire human race that underwent the change now lived five times longer than they used to.
Now nearly fifty years later, the world has changed. No longer were we a world of different nations but now we were all under the rule of one. And though there was no more wars, there was rebellious factions that wanted to take over.
