Chapter 15: Didn't expect this

It was at least five in the morning and me and Christian was walking down a street. I just needed fresh air and of course he wouldn't have let me go outside alone at this point.

"Did you check on your brother?" He asked.

I nodded. "He's gone."

Christian wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer. "You okay?" He asked

I nodded. "Yeah, I'll be okay."

"I'm sorry that this happened."

"It just isn't fair. There was a reason she didn't want to get involved with vampires and now look at her."

Christian looked down at the ground.

"I feel guilty."

"Don't. It's not your fault."

Christian let out a slow breath. I looked up at him and stopped walking.

He stopped the second I did like he anticipated I would stop.

I turned to face him and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Thank you for being here with me."

"I wouldn't be anywhere else." He whispered.

We leaned in at the same time and our lips connected.

Our tongue slipped into each other's mouths at the same time.

It comforted me and I had to deepen the kiss because this was keeping the pain away.

I was suddenly pushed hard against a brick wall in an alleyway and Christian continued kissing me and I made no move to stop him.

Sex should be the last thing on my mind but it distracted me, so I welcomed it.

He pulled my night gown up.

I was wearing it before we got outside and I didn't care about changing so I just put on a night gown, some flats and a small jacket.

Christian's fingers laced under my panties and tore them.

He pushed himself against me, his erection, huge against me.

He himself brought himself out and rubbed the head of him against my folds.

I leaned my head back and shut my eyes.

He put it into my entrance and thrusted into me and held my leg up to his waist.

I laced my fingers into his hair as he kissed me.

When he kissed me, his fangs slid down and he attacked my neck.

I threw my head back and whimpered as he bit into my neck.

His tongue licked and caressed the wound and he licked up the lines of blood before they could fall down onto my clothes.

He pulled back and looked into my eyes. His eyes dilated and as they did, he went on, using his vampire speed.

It was rough. So rough…but I liked it.

Although it was a little too much pressure, I didn't want him to stop.

I wanted the pleasure and pain.

And I welcomed the orgasm.

I climaxed fast and hard around him and threw my head back while sobbing.

It was so intense, tears came out of my eyes.

Christian pushed himself against me and held me against him as he came also and breathed softly.

I was breathing hard into his chest and shut my eyes.

After a few minutes of hearing him breathe, I opened my eyes and looked up at him.

He looks back down at me and trace my tears off my cheek and then bend to kiss me.

"Sun's coming up." He whispered.

I needed a minute to stop my head from spinning.

When I got myself together, and he fixed his clothes, I grabbed onto his hand and he led me back to my house.

Remy was standing outside. "It's about time." He said looking at Christian.

"She needed air, dick."

"I'm sure." He nodded and then looked at me. "You okay?"

I nodded. "You two should go before the sun comes up." I said.

Christian grabbed my hand and kissed my knuckles. "Love you."

"I love you."

He looked to Remy and Remy put a hand on my shoulder and smiled warmly. "See you."

I nodded and he disappeared.

Christian was still standing there. He gave me a smile and disappeared.

I looked after them and then to my house. Now it was empty.

Nick left. Christian's gone. Remy's gone, and Kindle is dead.

I walked into the house and shut the door.

I walked over to see the last spot Kindle was in.

There wasn't anything left but you could see leftover ashes.

I wasn't in the mood.

I decided to go upstairs and get some rest before I had to go to work.

Although it was normal to go there, it was draining thinking about it.

It was hard separating fantasy from reality but in this case, all fantasy is reality and it scared me.

And none of this would have happened if I wouldn't have walked into that bar.

I wouldn't have met Christian and stayed with him the night he rescued me.

I should have been more smart and just tell him I couldn't see him anymore.

Instead, I let these emotions run over me and let myself fall in love with him.

And I'm glad that I did. Because out of any man I've ever been with, this one, dead or not, makes me feel more alive than I've ever felt.

Me and him….it just make sense.

The way we are together….I just see it as perfect and he gave me a ring so he sees the same thing I see.

But the thing that is uncertain is my fate.

Svetlana wants to rip my head off.

And then there's the other thing.

Decades from now, he's still going to look the same. Perfect, gorgeous, dangerous.

But me…I'm going to be old…in a wheel chair.

But I can see that better, clearer than as something that has to feed on humans. Who would want that? I don't see who would want to be turned.

It seemed depressing at times.

Staying in while the sun is out.

Having vampire hunters running after you.

Being an abomination.

It just seemed too much.

And then dealing with the other supernaturals. Werewolves, Skin walkers, and Halflings.

Something I couldn't deal with.

I laid down in my bed and closed my eyes and sighed.

My phone beeped and I ignored it.

I turned in my bed and let my phone ring.

I didn't feel like dealing with anything else at the moment.

But it didn't stop. Whoever it was obviously didn't give a shit how I feel.

I turned and looked at it. 'Unknown caller'

I slid it and put it to my ear. "Hello?" I asked.

"Leena Phillips."

"Yeah, uh…who is this?"

"Svetlana." She said in a smooth voice.

Irritation curled through my body. "What do you want?" I spat out.

She paused, probably shocked at my attitude. If only she knew what I just went through.

"We need to talk."

"We're talking right now."

"In person." She purred. I hated when she does that.

It makes it seem like she's attracted to me.

"Or not."

"Or yes. I'll see you soon." She hung up, leaving me completely irritated and upset.

She's going to get her ass kicked one of these days if she keeps messing with me.

Damn her age. I got a gun and a stake with her name engraved in both.

I couldn't sleep not even a blink really.

I just got up and got in the shower.

I put on fishnets, a pair of black heels, a white lace shirt and a sheath black button down shirt with a black vest over it.

I actually kind of liked the wardrobe we had to wear to work.

Ros LM. was an office job.

I had the dreams to be an editor but I haven't had so much luck in that department.

I combed my hair down and let the brunette curls fall over my shoulders.

I put on my eyeliner and lip gloss.

I feel lipstick make me look slutty. At least that's what I was told.

I grabbed my black pea coat and pulled it over my shoulders.

I didn't care to look into the mirror as I grabbed my phone and my keys.

I came down the stairs and turned off every light in every room and went out the door.

My irritation couldn't get any worst at this point.

I got into my car and drove off.

When I got there, there were plenty of people there who normally get on my nerves.

Such as Tom O'Neil.

The perverted, annoying guy who does it to any girl who'd let him.

Which is stupid. There's no telling what kinds of diseases he must have…or what the girls must have.

I opened the door and walked in, signed in and then went into the elevator.

Just as it was about to close, nobody but the one and only placed his hand in between the doors so they would open.

Tom gave me a wide grin and I returned the fakest smile I could manage.

I scooted over to the other side of the elevator.

He moved closer to me. "How you've been?"

"Good." I said without hesitation.

"So, when can I take you out?" He asked.

So delusional.

I looked over to him and held up my hand flashing my ring.

His eyebrows raised. "Wow…um…"

"Yeah." I said nodding.

I walked out as the elevator doors opened.

And I could hear Tom following behind me.

"I didn't know you had a boyfriend, Leena."

"Yeah well he's my fiancée now."

I nodded. "Very." I opened the door to my office and my boss was on her side of the room and I placed my purse down.

I walked up to her desk and Tom was still right behind me.

My boss, Ellen Reynaldo looked up at me and smiled.

"Hey, sorry I've been gone so long. I had some issues to work out."

Ellen nodded. "It's fine. You still have some vacation days left."

Tom was uncomfortably close to me. "Did you know that Leena was engaged?"

Ellen looked shocked. "No…I didn't know that."

"Show her the ring." Tom said.

I looked over at him and he was staring down at me in irritation.

I looked back down to Ellen and showed her my ring.

Her eyes widened. "Oh its beautiful!" She exclaimed.

"Thank you." I said.

"What does your fiancée do for living?" Tom asked.

I shrugged. First off, he's not living and second…I honestly didn't know. I never asked him.

"Well whatever he's doing, he's doing it very well." Ellen said.

I nodded.

Tom huffed and walked away.

I looked after him and then back to Ellen.

"He wants you, that's why he's mad."

I nodded. He told me since day one he wanted me. He's irrelevant though.

Ellen turned her head and her hair slightly lifted up and I noticed the vampire bite. I thought that they heal.

"Ellen?" I asked.

She looked at me and I pointed to her neck.

She placed her hand on her neck and blushed. "Oh. I-"

"It's fine."

"I didn't want anyone to know." She whispered.

I shook my head. "It's fine, Ellen really." I showed her my ring again. "Given by a vampire." I said.

She looked dumbfounded. "They commit? I didn't know that."

"Yeah, I guess they do."

"I didn't know you ran with vampires."

"Well I don't 'run' with them. I'm just really familiar with them." And werewolves.

"I think we're the only two in the office that are."

I nodded. "We'll keep it between us?"

She nodded. "Yes."

I nodded.

"Getting off subject, we have a meeting today at two and I need you to fax this to Detroit." She said handing me a stack of papers.

Good to be at work.

After work, I went home and took a bubble bath.

I tired calling Nick but he refused to answer.

I think he was mad at me which is often lately.

He might be at home or he might not.

Someone knock on the door downstairs and I looked at my phone and the time said seven fifty two p.m.

It was either Nick or Aiden.

I wrapped myself up in a white robe and ran down the stairs.

I opened the door and it was Aiden.

But it wasn't. He looked….odd.

Not like he normally does.

His hair was messy. His eyes, dark.

It was almost scary.

His shirt was dirty and torn.

His jeans were muddy and he didn't have any shoes on.

"Aiden?" I asked.

He slowly looked to me and then down at my robe.

"Leena." He breathed.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

He didn't answer. He looked drunk. He slammed the front door shut making me jump and my heart began pounding.

"Leena." He said again.

His eyes changed to a bright red. The same color I saw that first night I seen him laying in the street.

"What happened to you?" I asked.

He didn't answer at first.

His eyes turned back to blue. He squeezed his eyes shut and opened them. "Um…Sorry. I don't know why-"

I backed up and he just stared at me.

"No. Leena, it's okay."

I stayed alert in case he did something sudden.

"Seriously, I'm fine, Leena."

"You sure?" I asked.

He nodded. "Fine."

"Okay….um. Hungry?" I asked.

He nodded.

"Well, I'll go get dressed and then I'll be back down here in a few minutes.

Aiden slowly nodded.

I watched him as I backed toward the stairs.

He didn't sit down. He stayed where he was with his fist balled.

"Are you mad at me?" I asked.

He shook his head. "No."

I bit my lip and slowly backed up the stairs.

He watched me and I turned and quickly ran up the stairs.

I know I didn't imagine the red eyes.

I saw them.

Was it happening right now?

I pulled my robe off and dropped it onto my bed.

I went into my drawer and grabbed some panties and a tank top.

I jumped when the door opened and Aiden came in.

He stared at me and shut the door.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

Aiden sighed and pulled his shirt from his body.

I backed up. "What the fuck are you doing, AIDEN?"

He didn't answer.

He walked near me and I quickly jumped on my bed.

Aiden jumped on top of me and I screamed and reached under my pillow for the gun put under there last night.

I got onto my back and held the gun against Aiden and pulled the trigger.

Aiden fell onto on his back and his eyes melted to bright red.

Brighter than a vampire's.

I got back.

Aiden stood to his feet and the wound in his chest bled out.

My eyes widened as the blood abruptly stopped. It reversed and went back to the wound and tiny stake melted out of his skin and fell to the floor.

Holy fuck.

What the hell?

Aiden grabbed onto my ankle and pulled me off the bed and held me down.

"Shut. The. Fuck. Up." He growled.

His teeth were no longer….human.

They were sharp and big.

No moment has ever been scarier than this moment.

He ripped my panties off and I tried my hardest to push him off.

He kept me pinned under his body and he was hot. Too hot, Like a curling iron being held against my skin.

It almost burned.

He got his pants down and drove inside of me. And placed his hand over my mouth while he held my wrist together with one of his hands and thrusted hard into me.

I shut my eyes and cried into his hand as he kept it over my mouth.

A violent sound echoed in the room and there was the sound of a gunshot.

Then four more.

I fell unconscious before I could witness another sound.

Author's note: sorry things happened to so fast, I'll try to slow things down a little.
