please dont confuse sadness, failing confidence and practicality with guilt or inhibition we each wear our own skin uncomfortably though some deny more brashly than others to themselves most loudly i feel like a naked girl in an overclothed world and im more than my less than perfect skin or just how fat or thin but its still a part of who i am im stronger than what i want but cannot outrun my need and when i smile less than perfectly it follows a frown, a tear no one can see or hear im past caring what anyone thinks ive my own set of values debating the world on its tilted access and i see things i like about you even if i dont find admiration or attraction or trust i cant share that with someone dangerous or hateful as for you i adore how could i change what i dont like thats up to you i know i have to change skin too what choice we have is oh so small why cant we make the most of it all
