Running From You
After my shower, I put my clothes in his washer and made my way into his room. He was laid on his bed watching TV.
I walked over towards him in his oversize t shirt and fell limp against him. "So much for stay away." I giggled snuggling into him.
"Never…" He pulled me closer.
Our hands intertwined.
I laid my head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. "I think I love you…"
My eyes widen at the realization of what I had said.
"Hm?" His chest vibrated under my cheek.
Oh thank goddess… he didn't hear me.
"I said I think I want some food… cook me something?" I sat up straddling him.
He propped his self up on his elbows. "Why would I cook for you? Shouldn't it be the other way around?"
I frowned. "Are you serious right now?"
"Yeah." He had the most serious face.
I smacked his bare chest. "Don't be so sexist."
"I'm just kidding." He chuckled rubbing the spot I hit. His phone vibrated, he looked down at it.
The smile dropped from his face.
"Who is that?"
"I… uh, think there should be some meat and noodles to make spaghetti…" He lifted me up off his lap and sat me on the side.
"I…" He was already out of the door.
I dropped back in the bed, grabbed a pillow and smashed it over my face screaming into it.
Why couldn't he just open up to me?
Was that his actual girlfriend?
All of a I sudden felt used… he could do anything to me and still kept to him.
He gave me his body, not his heart.
He hasn't even asked me what my favorite color was or anything.
He just knew my name.
He didn't want me… it was just the mate bond forcing him to want me.
His feelings weren't willingly, there were corrupted by the moon goddess.
I flung the pillow to the other side of the room and stood up. I went in his draw and pulled out some of his sweats.
I wiped the tears as I put them on and walked quietly down the stairs.
As soon as I was down, I searched for my shoes.
Fuck! There in the kitchen.
I'll have Luke or Tara get them for me.
I quietly walked towards the door and open it.
"Where are you going?" I turned around and saw Landon with a bottle of salsa in his hand.
"Why won't you talk to me?" I blinked back the tears.
He frowned. "What do you want to talk about?"
I looked at his chest. "Tell me about those names."
"I…" He shook his head
I shook my head. "I can't do this…" a tear slipped as I turned around.
I heard the sound of the glass breaking as I walked out the door, he must have dropped or threw the bottle.
"No. What do you mean you can't do this?" He rushed behind me.
I picked up my pace and ran towards my car.
I was pressed against the car. "Just wait…"
"I'm sorry… I can't…" I brought my knee up to his groin. He fell to his knees cupping his self.
I quickly open the door and got in, locking it behind me.
"Open this door!" He yelled trying to open it.
I shook my head and started the car.
He stood in front of my car. "You're not leaving me!"
I pressed the on the pedal a bit making the car jerk forward.
"What the fuck!" He banged on the hood of the car.
I looked in the mirror and drove backwards.
I can't do this.
Luke's P.O.V (short)
"Let me get this straight… she tried to hit you with her car." I frowned. "But you two were just…"
He cut me off still pacing his living room. "I know… one moment we were fine, laughing and…" he stopped.
I sat up on the couch. "What? What did you do?"
"She asked me about them." He looked down at the tattoo on his chest.
Realization hit me. "Then you have to tell her. You have to put trust into someone other than me and yourself."
"I'm not use to just trusting any o
I cut him off. "Do you like her?"
He shook his head. "I can't… I've never liked anyone, and then she comes along…"
"You like her…"
He ran a shaky hand through his hair. "I don't want to. I try and try to tell myself…"
"Stop fighting it! You can't go on in life being mad at the world and…"
He cut me off. "I don't need any distractions and... maybe her leaving me was a good thing for the both of us."
"Say it… Mia." He flicked at her name. "Being alone is never a solution in your case. You need Mia."
He shook his head. "No."
"Mia's the only girl who has successfully gotten through to you and made you feel at peace. You never talked to anyone besides me, you never really participated in anything life group discussions and parties. And you would have never stood up for anyone; you would have just sat back and watched the show go down."
"Shut up!" He spat.
I shook my head. "Mia's changed you in this short amount of time. And now you're just pushing her away… and for what? So she won't steal away your free time? Tell her."
"It's not that simple."
I frowned. "Then make it… before it's too late."
He shook his head. "I can't."
Tara's P.O.V (short)
Mia's phone rung for the 10th time.
I sighed looking at her phone. "It's him again"
"Why won't he just open up to me?" Mia sobbed in the pillow. "I'm so stupid."
"No you're not; you just did what every other person with their mate would do. Me and Luke almost did a couple times." I slapped my hand over my mouth as I let that slip.
She sat up from the pillow and looked at me with her puffy red face and glossy eyes. "But he loves you… he knows your favorite color and stuff."
I shook my head. "He isn't as complicated as Landon; you just need to give him time. He'll realize what he's missing and he'll be…"
She cut me off. "But he's what I'm missing. I don't want to give him time because then, I would be the desperate one. Staying away from him gives me heart pains, but the fact that he doesn't want me… is slowly breaking me."
I frowned. "He does want you; he just won't fully admit it to you or his self. But I see it and Luke, the wall he looks at you with so much adoration, he saved you countless of times and I bet he would gladly do it over and over again until his last breath. You need to let him come to you, stop being the first one to make a moved, let him."
I waited for him for days.
Day's turned into weeks.
Weeks turned into a month.
A month without being in his arms, kissing his lips.
He avoided me at school, he even moved his seat.
I would be lying if I said that didn't completely shatter me.
He even told the teacher he wouldn't write about me, so that was an automatic F on both of our half's.
Two and a half months left in school and I doubt he would be a part of my stay.
He was just done… with me.
My aunt tried and tried to shine some light on the situation, but it was useless.
I know she's probably had it with hearing my cries and screams for my mate but I couldn't help it.
I was rejected.
Cindy locked herself away, so I was left to deal with it on my own.
I never felt as helpless in my life as I grew weaker and weaker. I felt as if I would fade away at any moment.
Maybe going home in 2 ½ months will help me get over him.
Oh what the hell am I saying?
He's my mate for crying out loud!
I will never get over him
I would have a heart attack and die as soon as I step on that plane.
I walked towards my car and opened the door. I drove towards Landon's house, like I did everyday and just sat there a few houses away.
Hoping to catch a glimpse of him or anything
I just missed him terribly.
"Mia… I think you should go home." My aunt said sitting on the edge of my bed.
She never really called me Mia unless she was serious about something. I was always little bitch or some other nickname she could think of.
I wiped the tears from my face. "Why?"
"Because of this." She waved her hands all around. "You're tearing yourself apart; stalking his every move won't help you anymore. You need to remove yourself from the situation… and he's the situation."
I frowned. "What about school?"
"You can finish it at your old school."
I nodded running a shaky hand through my hair. "Okay…"
She placed her hand over mines. "You can finish the rest of this week up to say goodbye to your friends."
I shook my head. "No… if I'm leaving. It's going to be today… tonight." I stood up and made my way towards my closet.
"Wait what?" My aunt came in the closet after me. "I insist you stay the rest of this week and…"
I grabbed at a random shirt and sweats and went into the bathroom, my aunt hot on my tracks. "Order my ticket."
"Mia…" She sighed.
I turned on the shower. "Please."
She sighed nodding.
We pulled up to the airport. "Well… it's been real little bitch."
I chuckled weakly and opened the door. "I'm going to miss you too."
"I'll be there for your 18th birthday… we aren't over." She frowned.
I shook my head and got out of the car. "I'll send for the rest of my things."
I walked into the building with my bag in my hand.
This was it.
I went through the metal detector.
"Mia!" someone yelled my name.
I turned around and frowned.
Don't hate me for splitting them up that quickly.
This story is soaked in drama; I have to keep some twisted shit coming at you.
But why do you think Landon won't let Mia in?
And who do you think is at the airport?
But hey, I updated two stories in one day :)
