Chapter 11: Tomas
"Thank you for making dinner for me, you didn't have to do that." I said to Will.
He smiled. "Hoping to get the stress off your back. Besides, I wanted to ask you something." He said setting a plate of pasta down in front of me.
I grabbed my fork and took a bite as he sat down.
"What is it?" I asked.
"So, I've helped you find Harper's girlfriend, I shot her, and then we killed Harper. I never thought that I would ever do anything like that. Ever. And as weird as it may sound, I liked it. I mean…I like getting revenge with you."
I blushed. Wow. To kind of think about it, I think I liked him helping me. I liked him in general.
"I like it too." I admitted.
Will smiles. "So I was just wondering…would you….you know, would you be my girlfriend?"
He nods. "Seriously."
"Okay." I said.
Will gets up and comes over beside me.
I stare into his eyes as he leans over.
Our lips meet.
I feel strong electricity between us.
His fingers went through my hair, pulling me to him.
I twisted my fingers through his hair as our lips enveloped each others.
"We can eat later." He whispered, grabbing my torso, making me stand with him.
His lips leave mine as he pulls his shirt off.
I pull mine off and throw it on the floor.
I think we're actually going to do this on the kitchen floor.
My fingers went to the button of my pants and there was a knock on the door.
I sighed and looked to Will.
"Damnit." He whispered. He leaned down and picked his shirt back up and put it on.
I did the same. Great, now I was sexually frustrated.
"It's okay." He whispered. He leaned over and kissed me before walking out of the kitchen.
I continue eating my food as I hear the door open and then a loud thump.
I dropped my fork. "Will?" I asked.
Not a sound.
"Will?" I asked again.
I got up, but before I did, I went over to the sink and grabbed a knife out of it before quietly going to the living room.
Something inside my body jerked as I saw my dad standing over an unconscious Will.
"Tomas." I whispered. He looked to me. He looked completely the same. More messy though.
"So a man and daughter fight, huh?"
"Yeah." I whispered. I looked down to Will.
Tomas followed my eyes. Then he smirked. "He's not dead. I want him to watch me bury you. But your brother on the other hand…." He shrugged. "He was damn fun to kill." He smirked.
I felt like I had just been stabbed.
"You fucking bastard." I charged over to him raising the knife, before I could even reach him, he stepped to me, grabbed me and slammed me into the wall, making me drop the knife.
"Guess what I did." He growled as he placed his hand around my neck.
I tried to grab at his hand but his hold around my throat was too tight. I couldn't even breathe.
"I had time to dig a hole." He let go of my neck and grabbed me by my hair, and pulled me.
I grabbed onto his hands as he pulled me forward. "Let go of me!" I yelled.
"Shut the hell up." He said in irritation as he opened the door.
I had to do something. Anything.
I grabbed onto the doorframe. "Will!" I screamed.
He stirred slightly.
I called his name again just as Tomas dragged me out of the house.
He pulled me harder. Making me fall to the ground into the grass.
I can hear Will calling my name as he made his way outside towards me.
Tomas suddenly stop and I heard a gun cock as Will stopped running.
"Stay back." He whispered.
"Do not hurt Kat."
"It's none of your business." Tomas said.
"I give a damn about her. It is my fucking business."
"Well while I'm burying her, you should think bout making arrangements to burying your best friend."
"Might as well get started now." Tomas continued dragging me and made his way across the street and I tried to get away.
"Stop it!" I screamed.
His grip never loosened for second as he dragged me behind Danny's house.
And forced me down to the ground.
I looked over and saw a hole deep and long, dug by a tree.
"That's for you." He said pointing to the hole.
"No, it's for you." Will said aiming a gun as Tomas.
Tomas just laughed. "Or for the both of you." He pulled a gun up and had it pointing towards Will. "Or the both of you." He pulled the trigger and Will fell hard to the ground.
"No!" I got up and tried to run but when I heard a bang, I didn't feel that he shot me until I saw the blood. I fell to the ground gasping and breathing hard.
I couldn't see Will moving.
I think he may be dead but the thought killed me inside. "Will." I whimpered. It was all I could manage.
Tomas walked pass me and got to Will and pulled him up by his jacket and I watched as he threw him down the hole.
I cried into the grass, partially from the pain of the wound and from the pain that Will is dead.
Tomas then looked at me.
He walked over to me and turned me over. I can hear my breathing in my ears. Everything else was blocked out.
He raised his fist. He gave me a menacing look. "No one was ever supposed to know." He whispered and landed a blow right to my jaw.
I felt the crack the same time I heard it.
He grabbed me by my legs and pulled me. I gasped as the pain spread throughout my body.
And then I too was rolled down into the hole, right on top of Will.
I was looking him in his closed eyes. And all I wanted to see was that mixture of green and blue again.
A pound of dirt landed on my back. Then another at me ad Will's feet. Then another.
I looked at Will. "I'm so sorry." I whispered.
I kissed his lips and laid me head on his chest.
I felt more dirt being piled on us and I shut my eyes being prepared for that thing I just can't avoid. Death.
I watched from behind the tree.
I called 911 a few minutes ago.
I found Danny in the living room with a gunshot wound in his head.
And my ters wouldn't stop. They were still going.
I was scared but I knew I had to save my friends.
I walked and walked until I was right behind Tomas.
He suddenly stiffened.
He swung around and I jumped back and punched him as hard as I could.
"Bitch." He growled.
I grabbed his gun from off the ground and pointed it at him. "Kat!" I called.
"Hannah." She called weakly.
I looked at Tomas.
He smiled. "Shoot me." He tempted.
I didn't hesitate as I pulled the trigger. No bullets. Shit.
He laughed and swung the shovel again. It didn't hit me. I jumped back again.
"I know you made a phone call."
I froze. "They won't come though. They're afraid of me." He whispered.
"Good, then I can kill you myself." I pulled out the spare gun I had in my pants pocket.
I cocked it.
Tomas's smile vanished. "You don't have the guts."
"I do." I pulled the trigger, and blood immediately splatter out through his body.
He fell to the ground, right on the edge of the hole.
"Kat! You okay?" I called.
"Yes." Her tone was clipped.
I ran to the hole and tried to roll Tomas over onto the grass.
He was heavy but I was finally successful.
Kat was sitting down in the hole, looking weak and tired.
She couldn't go to sleep though. She might now wake up.
"Are you okay?"
She shrugged. "You should get us to a….hospital." He voice was cracking. I nodded.
I got down on my stomach and Kat could barely stand but she threw her arms up and I was able to pull her up and onto the grass with me and then she looked down at Will.
"We have to try." She whispered.
I nodded. "Okay."
Before we could really try, we heard the ambulance trucks.
They did come.
I smiled in relief.
They parked right on the street and I got up and ran to tell them where to come.
They followed me to the backyard and quickly ran to Kat with a gurney.
"We need another, there's someone in the hole and in the house."
A couple of more guys came and looked down the hole. They got down there and pulled Will up.
Kat was put in the back of an ambulance truck.
A guy came up to me. "Would you like to ride there?"
I nodded. "Yeah. Did you get…"
"Tomas Sanders? Yes. He's made good friends with a lot of people and it took us a while to be able to take him down but you finally did. Are you hurt?"
I shook my head.
"Okay. You can get in either truck."
"I have to be in the one with Kat."
"The first one parked on the street." He said and walked over to a crowd of people gathered around the dead body of Tomas.
I walked to the first ambulance truck and got in.
Kat was unconscious and had an oxygen mask on her face.
"Is she going to be okay?" I asked.
The man looked at me. "I honestly don't know."
