Author's Note: Hello Booksie lovers, I justed to thank you for reading this story. I'll be posting like two or three more chapters of this and then it'll be over. I made a promise to myself not to post a sequel to 'the unprediktable' but I really want to. It won't be from Jodie's view, it'll be back and forth from AJ's view and his new girlfriend's view. It'll be a BDSM story. And for you all who reads the 'Taste of blood' trilogy, I'm gonna continue it.
So enjoy this chapter.
Chapter 10: Before the eye of the storm
Will stared at the whip marks going across my body.
He looked at me in my eyes and reached over to turn the water in the shower off.
"You know what's crazy, Kat? I knew that you weren't telling me everything that happened." He said and grabbed my hand.
I looked down at the bloody water beneath us. "What else?"
I held back my sobs. "I can't te-"
"Yes you can, Kat. Holding it in isn't going to do jack shit except make you feel terrible. You can tell me anything." He said. His bluish, greenish eyes looking into mine.
I sighed and ran my fingers through my wet hair. "Harper video taped it. Him raping me. And then…" I glanced over at Will.
"My dad, he grabbed a chain and he whipped me."
Will closed his eyes and sighed and then opened them. "He hit you with a fucking chain? Are you fucking serious?"
Will shook his head in disbelief. "Go on."
"Then they both buried me." I said.
Will stared at me for a while. At first, I thought he done fell asleep with his eyes open.
"Danny helped me. He got me out of the hole. I guess he was watching as they buried me and then he took me to the hospital. Dropped me off on the sidewalk and I woke up a month later, scared, confused. And I saw these whip marks on my body. My psychiatrist told me I miscarried. And I had to have mouth surgery. Harper knocked out two of my teeth." I said.
Will sighed and looked down at the water as it went down the drain. "Why the fuck would they do some shit like that to you?"
"Because I told a secret."
Will rolled his eyes. "All that for a secret?"
"It was about my mother and Tomas was strict when it came to secrets but I felt like my grandfather had every right to know what happened to his daughter. But…"
"Before they kidnapped me, they made me watch them kill him."
Will looked away from me as if unable to hear anymore. "It was about your mom?"
I nodded. "My dad had her killed because she was sleeping with his boss."
Will's eyebrows raised. "His boss?"
"He's apart of this so called 'secret organization' shit.'" I said.
Will looked away from me. "So your dad kidnapped you, let his best friend video tape himself raping you, fucked you up with a chain and buried you alive," He sighed. "I would have rather killed him first." Will whispered leaning his head against the rim of the tub.
I tilted my head to the side. "Harper was way easier to find than Tomas."
"You have no clue where his location is? Want to check at his house?"
"From where we are now, his house is at least 90 miles west of here. I'm not driving out there and neither are you. I rather draw him in for bait."
"Like…make it aware that I'm still alive." I whispered.
"Phone call maybe?" Will asked.
"How will that get him over here though and I don't want my place splattered with blood."
I looked at him. "Your place won't be splattered with blood."
"So how do we kill him?" Will asked.
"We dig a hole." I said. My voice lifeless.
"A hole? I got a shovel I can work with." His bluish, greenish eyes met mine.
"I call him, no doubt with all the fucking people he has working for him, he can track the phone and find your address, he comes here armed and we bait him and have him put in the hole." I said.
Will shut his eyes. "If he's armed, he'd just shoot you on sight, Kat."
"Unless we stall him. Unless I stall him with fake information he might want."
"You really think we can get him over here?" Will asked.
I shrugged. "We might be able to."
Will rested his head back on the rim of the tub. "Then lets do it."
Will got up, still naked and got out of the tub, and I did the same. We went into his room and I grabbed a shirt of his and sat down on the bed.
Will grabbed a cigarette from out of his drawer and lit it before handing me his phone.
My hands were sweaty as they gripped the phone.
"If you don't want to do it, then I'll start you off."
I shake my head. "No. It's fine." I unlocked it and dialed his number and held the phone to my ear.
I let out a slow, shaky breath and shut my eyes.
When a voice, so familiar, it made this cold feeling run my very bones, picked up the phone, I hung up and sighed. "I'm sorry."
Will put his cigarette down somewhere but I didn't see where and he came over and got on his knees between my legs and looked up at me. "Look at me, Kat,"
I did as he said and looked into his beautiful bluish, greenish eyes. "You came far. Very far. And you're not dead. You're so close on getting revenge on the person who tried to kill you. And bury you. Do not let your fear get in the way. Because fear isn't shit but a feeling. Okay?" He asked.
I nodded. He was right. Tomas deserved this. And I was the victim in this situation. And I shouldn't be afraid to hurt the person who tried to kill me.
I dialed Tomas's number again and keep the phone against my ear. I'm looking down at will who has his arms resting on my thighs.
"Hello?" Tomas asked.
I hesitated and didn't say anything. "Tomas?" I asked.
Tomas was quiet for a moment. "Daniel dug you out, I'm assuming."
"You assume correctly." I whispered.
"Interesting. I suppose its too late for an apology?"
"You wanted it, Tomas. Why would you apologize?"
He didn't say anything. "I know you're not stupid enough to call me and make me aware that you're alive and not expect me to come after you, right?"
"You knew I'd set up a trap."
"I did. And now what?"
"Let's do this again."
"What do you expect, Katherine? A fight?"
"Yes. Father to daughter."
Tomas chuckled loudly. Almost dramatically. I rolled my eyes. "You wouldn't come alone, Kat. You know that."
"I would. After a month of being traumatized, you think I'd bother to communicate with anyone?" I asked.
Tomas sighed. "I hear him breathing."
My eyebrows furrowed. "How do you know its him?"
"Because you just told me. And plus Ruth told me, before she died."
I couldn't keep that small smirk off my face but then I frowned because it made me feel…evil.
"I guess you know about Harper then."
"Nice shot. They could barely identify the body because of how badly his face was smashed in." It was his room after all, why wouldn't they be able to identify the body?
"Good." I answered.
"I covered your tracks. You have not a clue how much DNA you and your boyfriend left. But I covered for you so I can get rid of the both of you myself."
"Are you really that mad, Tomas? Because mom found more interest and probably even a bigger cock with your boss than you?"
There was a long pause. A long pause and Tomas suddenly hung up, leaving a dead line. I looked down at Will. "He hung up."
Will shrugged. "But he knows you're alive. That's what's important. And on top of that, you push his buttons. We know for sure he's gonna try to come get you. So basically, mission a-fucking-accomplished." he smiled and leaned up to kiss me. I kissed him back and he got up and went to his drawer and put some clothes on.
"We need to go see and make sure everything is okay with Hannah."
I nodded and put on a pair of his jeans and tied the back up with a rubber band and went to go put on my shoes.
Will put his on too and we went across the street.
I knocked on the door and there was some rumbling around. Me and Will looked at each other.
Then the door opened to a shirtless Danny who was slightly sweating.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yes." Danny says breathless. Behind him, I saw a blonde only covered up by a sheet. Hannah.
She came to the door looking embarrassed.
"We just wanted to make sure everything was alright. And I see that it is."
Hannah bit her lip.
How she got over what happened to her so fast? I have no clue.
But seems that Danny may be helping her. "So you're okay?" I asked her.
She nodded. "I'm great."
"Did you get him?" Danny asked.
I nodded. "Me and Will."
Danny looked to Will and then looked to Hannah. "You two, can I talk to my sister alone?"
My eyes widened. In all the time we've known each other, Danny has never referred to me as his 'sister'.
Will nodded. "I'll be across the street, come over when you're done." He leaned over and kissed my forehead. Then he walked away.
I didn't think he'd do that in front of Danny. Guess I was wrong.
Hannah nodded towards me and turned to go in the living room.
Danny leaned against the door frame. "So you've done it."
"Shot him in the head. Then Will shot him some more. Then we stomped his face in." I said.
Danny stared at me. "You and Will, an even more dangerous version of Bonnie and Clyde. I didn't think you had it in you."
"I didn't either." I said shrugging.
Danny sighed. "Look, I-I'm sorry I gave you shit all these years about…being alive."
"No its not. And I realized that I shouldn't blame you for telling your grandfather what you told him. He did deserve to know about your mom." Danny said nodding.
"Thank you, Danny." I said.
He stepped towards me and hugged me.
Something that was completely unexpected. But I embraced him back.
Because we never hugged. Ever.
I rested my head on his shoulder and shut my eyes enjoying the warmth of the hug from my brother.
