"I was trying to teach you discipline my dear pet." His voice was now soft, kind even. "I was planning on coming home last month and giving you this." He pulled out a new silver collar with a celtic knotwork pattern on it in crimson. I looked at it, my breath caught in my throat as I marvelled at it's beauty. "I...It's beautiful Master....M...May I?" I reached out to touch it and stopped to look up at him. He nodded and smiled as He handed it to me.
I took it and turned it over in my hands, it truely was the most beautiful work of art I had ever seen. "Y...you are so kind Master." There were tears in my eyes as I looked up at Him again. He smiled, which was so rare and without even thinking I reached out and touched His hand.
He knelt down beside me and kissed my cheek. "When I came home that night and found you lying on the bathroom floor a feeling of such dread and loss tore through me. I know now that you are the only pet I could ever want, I know I neglected you viciously, but if you would so do me the honour I would love to place this collar, the symbol of my ownership over you around your neck so that all who may see you will know that I am the proud owner of one such as you." His voice was thick with emotions that He had never dared show me and I nodded as I handed the collar back to Him.
He took it and helped me sit. I lifted my hair as best as I could so He could fasten it around my neck. Tears stung my eyes as joy and pride overwhelmed me. "Th...thank you Master, I live only to serve you. I crave only your happiness."
