Missy ran them through the forest, weaving complicaeted paths while Bain begged the forest to cover their tracks. Bain watched as Missy ran them into a river, hrough the current that took them miles form their first enty. Then she exited. Shivering and tired Bain followed as Missy kept up a steady pace that took them miles into the forest, deep and through a mineral pool and then up into the forest that surrounded the camp. Bain collapsed in wolf form upon arrival. Ty changed first moving to get clothes. Bain struggled to get up and tried to change back, she looked at the ground and froze, she wasnt changing.

A fightened yip had Ty ripping his way out of the tent doorway to her. "Whats wrong?" he asked runnign fingers through her dry but chilled fur. She blinked and yipped to Missy.

"She cant change back." Missy spoke. "Did you forget how?"

Bain shook her head, she'd already seen and felt herself shift too an from wolf form in her memories. She looked at Ty panicked. "Wait, this happened before, she could barely sustain wolf form the first time, then she was human and couldnt get back because the memories were bothering her." He slapped his hand together. "What did you remember?"

She snorted, it was a bad memory. "Good or bad?" Missy asked. Bain looked at Ty and glared angrily, then bared her teeth.

"Okay, bad memory, of me... which one?" He asked. She looked around and then at him, she looked surprised for a second and pawed up to him, she nosed his face and placed her paw against it, splaying her toes she moved his head sharply, like a charades version of a slap. His eyes widened as he looked at her, she purposfully walked away before walking back to him. "You saw the one with me at the ball... with Claire."

She ducked her head and looked at the ground, she pleaded with the earth and moon to help he with the change, she needed to get back to human form. She begged. Suddenly she felt the tingles of change and she toppled onto her side in human form. Ty scooped her up and carried her into the tent where her clothes waited. Bain dressed with shaky hands, then moved to turn, but Ty's huge hand clapped her shoulder and kept her facing away from him. "I'm sorry... that night... I never went to Claire willingly, she appeared right before I was to meet you, and said I was to attend or you would lose your job. I never told you because you'd have killed her, I promise you I've never gone to her willingly. When it became her side, or your death... I chose as your mate to go to her side."

"Why?" Bain asked.

"He's an idiot." Missy growled. "You once told me Bain that in your culture the wolves would rather die with their mate by their side than watch that mate leave them."

"That doesnt make me an idiot, I'll willingly walk into slavery if it would protect Bain."Ty gowled.

"It sure as hell makes you a fool, she'd stronger with you at her side." Missy growled. "Dont do that shit this time."

"Bain, I live and breathe for you." Ty said and Bain felt her eyes burn with emotion as her heart listened for her. The pain and sadness started to ease a bit. "I will chose you a thousand times over me. As your mate then and now I will."

"Promise me something Ty." Bain spoke, she was still afraid, but she wanted to confront these feelings.

"Anything." he breathed.

"Dont leave me." She growled. "Ever again."

"I swear, I will never willingly leave your side." Ty spoke, "But you should know something."

She looked at him as he watched her. "My amulet, Claire has poisoned it with magic... thats why the jewel is black. If I'm not within a certain vacinity of you she can control me, my mind... everything."

Bain felt a hand close over her mouth, pain slashed her heart at those words. It felt so wrong, like a defiling of their union. Bain felt raw hate and pain fill her stomach. Ty slid to his side and bowed his head over her lap. "If Claire is able to sink her poison into me again and control me... please kill me before I betray you again."

"I cant kill you Ty." Bain whispered as she rolled him over so he looked at her. "I can never kill you, if she takes you... I'll free you, a thousand times more."

She leaned down and their lips finally, finally connected. She felt one of his hands curl into her hair and pull her closer. She felt his tongue slide against her lip so she opened her lips, his tongue surged past to slide against hers. She kissed him back tangling their tongues together. She felt heat explode inside her as she kissed him. She felt him inside her soul, he was hers. She pulled back to see Ty's blue eyes streaked with gold, she smiled. "Lets protect each other this time."
