Taking The A Train To Fate My eyes watery and my vision clouded I continued to run. I don't know where I was going and I didn't care what could happen to me I just ran. Loosing my footing I feel to the hard ground using my hands to stop my fall. My body exhausted I just laid on the ground my face on the cold street. My body heaved and shaked from me crying so hard. I bit my lip to stop the trembling, biting so hard I broke the skin and a trickle of blood entered my mouth. I didn't even spit it out. I let the metallic roll over my tongue and down my throat. I was so angry I just wanted to see red fall from my wrist. I wanted to stop breathing, stop existing. There was no point to live. No one gave a fuck about me, no one gave a shit if I lived or die! I have nothing to look forward to, nothing to care about. I rolled over on my back looking at the black cloudless sky. The moon was full the stars sparkling beautifully. More tears fell from eyes filling my ears, my stomach rumbled and my heart was beating wildly in my chest. I wish I could stop it. I sat up looking around the streets. Even at 3am the streets of Manhattan were still alive. I was sitting on my butt on the corner of 42nd street and 8th ave. I had no money and the home I just left was no longer mine. I stood walking towards the train station a block away. It was freezing and I had nothing more then pajama pants and a t-shirt on my body. The floor was brutal to my uncovered feet numbing them. I entered the train station searching for cops after seeing none and ignoring the booth conducter I hopped the turnstile. "Pay your fare!" He yelled through the intercom. I ignored him and walked on. Since I knew New York like the back of my hand I went through the tunnels making my way to the A train knowing it was the longest train ride. I went to the end of the station and it was my luck a train pulled in. I stepped in disgusted by the dirty floor and sat in a corner seat. The train was empty except for three other riders. I leaned back pulling my hands in my shirt for warmth trying to think of what to do. Whenever I've left home before the train was always my solitude. I'd ride it for hours until I was calm enough to go home but not this time. This time I wouldn't be returning. At some point between 23rd street and Jay street I feel asleep, only to be woken at the last stop by the dumass train conducter telling me it was the last stop. " I know that I'm taking it back to Manhattan!!" He shrugged and walked off the train doors closing behind him. The door closed and the train pulled out of the station. Sighing I leaned my head back thinking of the nightclub events. Doing so only caused me a headache so just as I was about to go to sleep I noticed a woman sleeping half up the cart from me. Her head leaning on the window as she slept to the rocking of the train. I stared in envy, long blonde hair and creamy white skin. Plump lips covered in red lipstick, a buisness suit covered her beautiful curvy bottom and red steletto shoes covered her feet. I shook my head I wasn't a lesbian. I was about to go back to sleep but then I noticed her purse laying in her lap. Now I wasn't a thief but I needed money badly. I would never beg for change. I tried to shake my head and forget I saw it but my eyes landed on my dirty bare feet then back at her purse. I sighed and stood the cart was empty so I had no one to worry about. I walked over slowly watching the slow rise of her chest to ensure she was sleeping. Then before I could back out I grabbed the purse. 'Ding-Ding' "This is Rockaway Blvd. Transfer to...." Her eyes fluttered open and I froze as her blue eyes looked up at me confused then looked at her purse in ny hands. I was about to run but I heard a radio and looked up seeing a uniformed officer entering the train. He looked at me eyebrows bunched and began walking over. I looked at the woman my heart beating erraticly. She never seemed to have looked away from me. She looked at me as in thought then seeming to come to a decision stood. "Ma'm is everything alright?" "Yes officer I had fallen asleep and I guess I dropped my purse and this young woman was giving it to me.. right?" She looked at me and I nodded. We were about the same height but the way she looked at me and the height given to her by her shoes made me feel so small. "Yes, I didn't want anyone to take it from her." The officer stared at me unbelieving but the woman smiled as if there was no fault in what she said. He nodded and walked through the train doors leaving us alone. The woman looked at her watch and rolled her eyes then seeming to remember me looked at me. I took one step back. "Stay!" I froze staring into her face as she gave me a look over. I thought she would turn her nose at me and call me a bum but she didn't. "What is your name?" "Why do you care?" She raised an eyebrow at me and I noticed the smallest grin on her plump lips. "The officer should know the truth shouldn't he, I'll get him." "Rose! That's my name, please don't call the cop back." "Rose hmmm, your anything but. Uh,uh quiet I haven't asked you anything. Good, now are you homeless. Nod yes or no." I was about to retort but she looked back and waved at the cop through the glass doors of the cart. He waved back then glared at me. She looked at me and I nodded my head. "Hmmm, I want you to come back with me to my home." I was about to argue but the smarter part of me looked at her Gucchi purse, Rolex watch and expensive clothes. "Why are you helping me and why didn't you tell the cop?" She looked down at my lips then before I could stop her grabbed my lower lip. I yelped feeling the broken skin of my lip I had bitten being pulled by her fingers. "I didn't ask for a response we are going to my house and that's the end of it understand?" Remembering her earlier statement I nodded quickly. She released my lip and smiled nodding. "Good you remember. Sit we are getting off at 86th street." I sat in the window seat and she sat beside me and took out her apple iPhone and began fiddling with it. The trip to her house was interesting. At 34th street people began getting on the train they saw me, my clothes and feet then began talking about me. I looked at my lap embarrassed. I was surprised when SHE spoke up. "Is there a problem?" I was surprised at the base in her voice, it left no room for argument. They immediately turned walking to the end of the cart away from us. I peeked up at her to see her looking at me. It was like staring at a cat. She never blinked, her eyes were wide and watching until I crumbled under her gaze and turned away. We exited the train at 86th st. and she hailed a cab. It took us three blocks. I stared at her in confusion. She looked down at my feet as if it was obvious. She lived in a private building with a security guard. He didn't give me a second glance as we walked pass taking the elevator to the top floor. Three bedroom apartment, one bath, living area and kitchen. Her house was beautiful, clean, and inhabited by another girl. She was quite short with a pixie cut hairstyle. Brown eyes, caramel skin and pretty big tits. She was on her phone in a pair of sweats and sports bra. She looked up and rolled her eyes and left the room. "Don't mind her, she's my cousin. The shower is there, towels on the rack. I'll leave clothes for you on the toilet seat. The room you sleep in is through there across from mine. Are you hungry?" I shook my head no. She grinned. "Then I shall see you in the morning to figure out what you'll be doing to earn your stay." 'Earn my stay' She was already walking to her room so I did as instructed and showered. Finding booty shorts and a tank top I went to my 'new' room and sighed. It was pretty. Purple and blue comforter set on a queen sized bed. Dresser and window looking out to the street. I crawled in immediately impressed with the softness of the mattress. Soon I fell asleep thinking of today's events. What do you guys think?
