Fifty Shades of Grey - How has it become so popular?

Page 1, This is a book review on the Fifty Shades of Grey books. Personally I have only read the first one, so my review is based on this.

Fifty Shades of Grey.

This is an erotic novel written by E.L James. Fifty Shades of Grey is the first instalment in a trilogy which follows the relationship that develops between a college student and a business magnate.

The attraction to this book is very simple. It is the use of BDSM and the very detailed explicit scenes within the pages of the book. BDSM is the elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission and sadism/masochism.

Fifty Shades has become the best selling book ever, even overtaking the Harry Potter series! That is how addictive it is. I will admit, when I was reading the first one, I couldn't put it down as it is one of those books that is written in a way that you can't believe it so you have to read on and make sure you're not dreaming - (although, to be honest, this BDSM certainly wouldn't have been my dreams topics at all).

It is hard to review this book without ruining the story - but simply put, it is addictive, and it is a must - read for anyone wanting to see what all the fuss is about.
